I think we recruited him at LBMaybe there is another TE incoming
I think we recruited him at LB
I believe he was committed to UCF as a TE before he flipped to us.Interesting how the young brain works. Committed all this time as a linebacker and flip to TE three weeks before signing day.

Didn't even realize but apparently he left Texas after one year, ended up at Auburn and did next to nothing for them. Now is out of football and looking to become a coach.Trill Carter left for Texas and basically rode the bench.
It’s hard to know what is really going on.no wonder Fleck has over 30 commitments
Especially if you're probably not gonna play as a true freshman. Good odds they get a 4* for his same spot next year to compete with him.Gotta wonder about playing time with them vs us. Oh well. On to the next one.

I don't know what the term would be, but Fleck and company do a pretty job of identifying "risers" early in the process. That can get guys to commit before they have other offers, but the challenge is keeping them in the fold.I'm pretty sure when he flipped to us the usual were complaining no legit team wanted him.....
Watch ,247 will change his rating to a 92 now. Think he was an 83 still when we landed himthat kind of sucks!
Perhaps he needed to be somewhere near a waffle houseWaffler

His Soph year he had a torn ACL, Jr year broken hand played with a club, that healed halfway through the year and then he broke his other hand and had to wear a club on that hand! He is a very violent run blocker,I don't know what the term would be, but Fleck and company do a pretty job of identifying "risers" early in the process. If Jilek want to play TE, that wasn't going to happen here with Voss lining up at the same position. I wish him the best and like MNVCGUY wrote, I'm glad he did it now rather than a year or two from now.
Could be thinking of someone else but I think Trill has been very complimentary of PJ and the way he runs his program.Didn't even realize but apparently he left Texas after one year, ended up at Auburn and did next to nothing for them. Now is out of football and looking to become a coach.

Hopefully the money he got from Texas and Auburn was worth it because from a football standpoint transferring definitely didn't work out for him.
Yep, Trill is one of the guys who left because he didn't fit for lack of a better explanation, but like you said, he said positive things about PJ, the program, and how it's run.Could be thinking of someone else but I think Trill has been very complimentary of PJ and the way he runs his program.
One of the transfers had very positive PJ comments. Grass isn't always greener.
Yeah, it's kind of interesting. He could have stayed here, looked good, and maybe gotten drafted in a late round based on potential.Didn't even realize but apparently he left Texas after one year, ended up at Auburn and did next to nothing for them. I could be wrong, but I though he fit in fine but left for larger NIL.Yep, Trill is one of the guys who left because he didn't fit for lack of a better explanation, but like you said, he said positive things about PJ, the program, and how it's run.
Would be interesting to know in hindsight if he regrets the decision to transfer. I am sure he made decent money to be a part time player those final 2 years but I wonder if he would do things differently if he had another crack at it.Yeah, it's kind of interesting. Instead, head to some helmet schools and let the scouts see that you don't have NFL potential.
Not trying to hate on him, as he seemed like a nice guy while here. Just interestin', that's all.
