Go Gophers!!
People leaving Minnesota for better opportunities is a tale that I dislike hearing too often. It has a subtext of inferiority rather than accomplishment and achievement. Why can't Minnesota be a center of retained excellence?Guessing better opportunities opened elsewhere, not that they were fired.
Couldn't it be for a promotion? He didn't lose his top assistant.People leaving Minnesota for better opportunities is a tale that I dislike hearing too often. It has a subtext of inferiority rather than accomplishment and achievement. Why can't Minnesota be a center of retained excellence?
I understand, but the on-going mantra around me is "get out of this state". It's not just contained to sports.Couldn't it be for a promotion? He didn't lose his top assistant.
There are only so many places you can go to be a top assistant at a power program.
Ben Johnson is one and all he gets on GH is crap. Just sayin.I understand, but the on-going mantra around me is "get out of this state". It's not just contained to sports.
I like living here. Rare is the person who says they want to come back to Minnesota and give back. Even rarer is the person welcomed back.
The other edge of the sword is that results need to be produced, especially in sports and business.Ben Johnson is one and all he gets on GH is crap. Just sayin.
Yes, they are both gone. So, any thoughts on if those two coaches actually are leaving??
Can you cite a Tweet or Insta post, please?Yes, they are both gone.
“Help” will be impossible to meaningfully measure for 2024, as the level of middles who are going to be willing to transfer here to be nothing more than blocking specialists are going to be those like Husemann. The word is that Pedro is returning to MN. He will really help our middle game.
I made a similar comment one time and got a negative reaction. Someone responded that coaches are not over one specific area of the sport. The word is that Pedro is returning to MN. He will really help our middle game. No word on the second assistant.
Just posting what I have heard. If what I heard is correct, Pedro should be announced soon. Can you cite a Tweet or Insta post, please?
You can’t cite the job posting, as it is in question. See post #9.
You can’t cite inside information because that can’t be verified.
If those coaches really are gone, which I’m not denying is possible, why haven’t they made a public thank you/goodbye message, as is warranted?
None of these including true freshman Booth can hold a candle to Pittman.I believe we had probably our BEST MB presence in the BIG in all of Shaff's years here as our starting setter with Pedro on board as one of our Assistant Coaches.
No reason to delay their leaving announcement. About time. Appreciate them and wish them good luckOfficial coaching change announcement
