#34 would be the teams lowest finish in a 12+ game season since 2018

He's not going to run a lot. I see think the wisc game shows how he will be used. The offense will open up with his mobility and pocket presence as to give receivers more time to get open. There definitely will be more down field throws.

Since Foggie?? Fleetwood, Abdul-Khaliq, Marquise Gray, Leidner to name a few could all move on their feet. And Weber and others I’m probably forgetting. Philip Nelson as well.

Max shortell in 15 games:

What I’m telling you is our “scrambler” is closer to max shortell than Phil Nelson as a runner in terms of style and production. Granted in a very small sample size

We don't want a scrambler, We want a guy that can throw from the pocket but use his legs when needed. The word scrambler makes me think of someone who cant throw the football

Agree. I think there are "runners" and "scramblers". Flutie, Tarkenton, Rodgers, Wilson, Mahomes to me are scramblers. They move around to give themselves time to throw. Then there are the "running" qbs that aren't good at throwing which are more common in college than the NFL.

Next years schedule is more difficult than 2015 IMO

There were only 8 conference games then. So even with TCU
On that schedule there was still:
2-10 Purdue
3-9 Kent state
5-7 Illinois
6-7 Nebraska
7-6 Colorado state
8-5 Ohio
7-6 central Michigan (Bowl)
Even with really tough crossovers that year of 13 games the team still played 7 games against teams under .500 or from G5 conferences.


This year I think there will be fewer than 7 teams that will fit that criteria in the end

Eastern Michigan
Northwestern
Louisiana
Purdue
Nebraska (maybe)
Michigan state (maybe)
Wisconsin (maybe)
(Maybe a bowl game)

The Miami analysis made me chuckle. They've had too much talent the past decade for that to not happen again. Yet it continues to happen.
