Bubblicious Wednesday: Baylor locked & loaded after win over Cyclones

I stopped my insider account. So, where does MN stand? Next four out?

yup, he had nebraska and providence ahead of us in the last 4 out, forgot who the 4th team was that was behind us

Edit* FSU is the 4th team

Utah beats Cal. Cal may be on the outside looking in now. There will be 2 big Pac12 games this weekend, Stan vs Utah(loser likely out) and Cal vs Col (more of must win for Cal)

Also Pitt is on the road against Clem, may be a must win for Pitt this weekend.

I'm sure there are other games big games as well, but I'll really be intrigued by these matchups

Nebraska plays Wisconsin in their final game and Providence plays Creighton. We play PSU. Assuming that the favorites in each of these games go the way they should, we likely hurdle right back to the cut line prior to the tournament.

I found myself pulling for Nebraska as the game went on. I just can't stand Crean and couldn't root for IU. Happy for the Huskers, even though it's a result that hurts the Gophers some. Gophs can get this done. They can start taking care of their end of the bargain on Sunday.

Yeah. I'm really quite happy for the Cornshuckers too. For one thing, Tim Miles is one of my favorite coaches in the game, and for another, it's just kind of nice to see such a traditionally downtrodden program raise themselves up like that while making known the fact that "Hey, we are someone who merits serious attention and are someone whom is to really be reckoned with." I mean who'd have ever thought that after starting out the season 9-9 and losers of five of their first six conference games, they'd currently be sitting in fourth place at 10-7 in the conference and with the distinct possibility of obtaining a first-round bye in the BTT?

I surely couldn't have foreseen that drastic and shocking a turnaround, and holy God can that Terran Petteway kid play. Wow what a player, and to go from averaging 3.1 points per game last season to 17.9 PPG this, while raising his FT% from under 50% to over 81% and making similar vast improvements per minute in nearly every other apect of his game (rebounds, blocks, steals, assists), well, clearly just a massive leap forward for that kid, and he's still just a sophomore.

He is putting himself into Big Ten Player of the Year consideration, that's for sure.

One minor correction....He didn't play last year. He sat out a transfer year at Nebraska. He began his career at Texas Tech and played only a little as a freshman. Learned and matured while watching from the sidelines last season, and broke out this year.
