BTN.com's 2014 Big Ten football uniform poll (Gophers rated 9th best unis in B1G)

Top five in no particular order: Michigan, MSU, Gophers, Northwestern, OSU.

I am a fan of the clean, traditional look. PSU? Well those are just out of the park bland. I don't understand why people like Iowa's unis. Nothing special there. If we expanded out of the big ten for favorite jerseys.....I'd have to say that Auburn has the best ones.

I'm a little surprised at the negative comments I'm seeing in this thread about Penn State's uniforms. I mean I agree, I think it's a pretty bland and boring uniform, but given the backlash that most sorts of alternate uniforms get here, I expected more "Classic! Simple! Subtle! Understated! Traditional!"

Also, at least going by the pictures they used, Wisconsin and Nebraska wear pretty much the exact same uniform: red shirts with white numbers/names and two white stripes on the sleeves, white pants with two red stripes down the side, and white helmets with red logos on them. They're even both Adidas. The only difference I can really spot, other than the teams obviously having different logos, is that Nebraska's helmets have one red stripe down the middle, whereas Wisconsin's have two. And yet despite being nearly identical, Nebraska's uniforms were ranked ahead of Wisconsin's by every person polled.

I like Michigan State's because I like the combination of green and white, and MSU is the only Big Ten team that wears green. If there were five other teams in the conference that wore green, I might not be quite as high on them, but I think the colors look nice. Same with Illinois, I like blue and orange. I'm not as big a fan of their orange uniforms, but I like their blue ones and their white ones. Michigan is pretty cool too. I still like our helmets a lot, I love the matte finish, and I think it looks sweet on most helmets, including the white ones we wore for the bowl game, I thought those were really cool.
