This guy is a baller! The ability to make quick reads. The back shoulder throws. The Brockington and Geers sequence were both beautiful, perfectly thrown balls. The only thing holding this offense back will be a lack of aggressiveness, both in the play calling and the types of routes we run.

Iowa is no slouch on defense and we're having no issues moving it, and if the stupid penalties and missed PI calls stop, I see us putting up some yards and points in the second half. Good game so far.

P.s. The defense is back to pre 2023. They are flying around!!

There’s nothing wrong with the QB.. Coaches that are responsible to make adjustments are lacking big time.
Agree to an extent. Don't think that it was all or even close, to being Bosmer's fault. He was getting hit on almost every pass play and was never, or almost never, able to get comfortable in the pocket. Our Oline struggled mightily.

Brosmer looked good in the first half. The line didn't help him a lick and the coaches didn't help him at all in the second half. He's a good qb when he's got time to do this thing

Brosmer is fine. He's not a stud, but he's the best QB we've had in a while. It would really help if we could focus on the running game & get that going. Right now, with the pass-heavy play calling, the whole game is riding on Brosmer and he's not that kind of QB. Need more balance & success in the running game.

One aspect that is going to continue to hurt the offense is the fact that Brosmer can't escape and make a 15 yard run once in a while. It would be nice to have a QB who can save the play with his feet when the line is this bad.

This is entirely correct. Brosmer is the best QB we have had here in a long time with the exception of Tanner's great year in 2019 with two exceptional receivers.

It is just difficult for fans to grasp that our strength for many years -- the offensive line -- is now poor. We are so used to dominating run blocking that it is hard to accept today that the line is the problem for both the run and pass game.

It is obvious that the run game is now limited, even with DT and a good back in Majors, but this inability to run has also hurt the passing game because we don't have the balance the planned attack needs.

Yep, the QB isn’t our issue. Je faltered in the second half a bit, but whether PJ believes in or not in momentum, it shifted heavily and kicked us all in the nuts during said half.

Brosmer is not the problem, but your comments on the D didn't age well.

Brosmer is exactly who we need running the offense, he's fine. In the most Minnesota way possible, the one year we get a solid qb we end up having a dud offensive line. Can't make it up.

I don't get it, we have a stud running back, we should be able to run.

This is on the Offensive coaches

It's on the guys on the field who are being pushed around and dominated. Coaching and blocking schemes have not changed.

I think you mean "Bromser."
Or "Brosmy."
Or "Brommer."
Or "Brosner."

- Tim Brando.

Brosmer now needs 541 more passing yards and three more touchdowns to get into the single season top 10 for passing stat leaderboards for quarterbacks.

Tony Dungy (1975), Billy Cockerham (1999) and Adam Weber (2009) are tied for 10th place in touchdowns thrown in a season with 15. Bryan Cupito’s 2005 season has the 10th place spot for yards thrown for in a season.

As for the top, No. 1 is Tanner Morgan’s 2019 season (3,253 yards/30 TDs) and No. 2 is Adam Weber in 2007 (2,895 yards/24 TDs), for yards and touchdowns.

Up to the #2 PFF rated QB in the BG10 from #4 last week. It's a bit surprising after a tough opponent in Illinois, but other QBs like Gabriel and Allar coming back to earth with good competition too.

Little surprised to see Altmyer all the way down at #12.

I'm guessing a mediocre completion percentage and a fumble problem offset his scrambling ability.
Ball security is definitely an issue for him. Tough to fault him too much for the first fumble as he was flipped over and about to land on his head but he had the one rollout where he just dropped the ball and then of course there was the strip on the final play (which again isn't totally on him as Joyner made an amazing play to get to his arm).

He scores pretty well in the other metrics but that one really drags him down.

Just imagine if we hadn't had so many drops earlier in the season. If guys just caught the balls they should he would be higher.

Someone posted a while back we were one of the teams with the most drops

The O-line didn't give much time to throw either.

Brosmer is now tied with Dungy (1975), Cockerham (1999) and Weber (2009) for 10th place in single season touchdown passes with 15. The No. 9 spot is held by Asad Abdul-Khaliq's 2003 campaign.

Max, who has 2,426 passing yards, needs 105 more to pass Cupito's 2005 season with 2,530 to take the 10th place spot for single season leaders. Next up the ladder is Cory Sauter's 2,578 yards thrown in 1996.

Brosmer is the best QB that I've ever seen us have. I wish we could have had year 2 of him. I still have hope for Lindsey next year, assuming we find about 5 receivers in the portal as our depth is not good.

He’s really good. He does move off his spot, eyes go to the rush and off down field sometimes.

Max Brosmer’s stats put him at 2,617 yards and 17 TDs in passing. That puts him at No. 7 on the single season passing Top 10, passing Cory Sauter’s 1995 year with 2,600 yards.

His 17 touchdown passes now have his season so far tied with Asad Abdul-Khaliq’s 2003 campaign.

Here’s the single season leaders in front of Brosmer for yards:
  1. Tanner Morgan, 2019, 3,253
  2. Adam Weber, 2007, 2,895
  3. Bryan Cupito, 2006, 2,819
  4. Adam Weber, 2008, 2,761
  5. Mitch Leidner, 2015, 2,701
  6. Adam Weber, 2010, 2,679
Then for touchdown passes:
  1. Tanner Morgan, 2019, 30
  2. Adam Weber, 2007, 24
  3. Bryan Cupito, 2006, 22
  4. Mike Hohensee, 1981, and Adam Weber, 2010, 20
  5. Asad Abdul-Khaliq, 2002, and Bryan Cupito, 2005, 19
  6. Cory Sauter, 1995, 18
