Braeden Carrington

He had a great game; good for him. Let’s see how he does the rest of the year!

And what about Winter? Can you imagine hating your father enough that you would spurn his team for the rival school? Something ain’t right with that young man.
Can you honestly say it was the wrong decision? Plus, there were a lot of people on this site - well, maybe it was one poster who liked to post the same thing over and over and over again - who felt he wasn't going to be much because he didn't think Trevor was much either. Even after his freshman year where he was a 8th or 9th man in the rotation, the prevailing sentiment here was that Winter was a bullet dodged. How many guys have we seen this pattern of growth with at Wisconsin?

Winter's skills fit the Wisconsin system like a glove, they wanted him, and they had a role for him to grow into. Minnesota under Johnson didn't even have a system. No-brainer.

The loss to Wisconsin last night falls squarely on the Williams Arena fans. When they booed every time Carrington touched the ball, I knew the game was over. If the Barn crowd had done nothing, Carrington would have bricked every shot he put up just when he was at The U. But noooo. We had to do the one thing that was certain to cause bad karma for the team (just like that f*cking "We Hate Iowa" chant).

Booing Carrington doesn't even make sense. He didn't do anything insulting when he left The U. He simply disappeared from a crappy Ben Johnson program--who would blame him. Not only that, why didn't anyone boo when Trevor Winter's kid touched the ball?

It is proof that Minnesota fans are clueless.
Because Trevor Winter's kid was never a Gopher and he didn't quit on his team half way through a year and pretend it was over "mental health" then turn his back on the coach who defended you in the media.

Carrington is a disloyal mental midget scumbag. I don't blame kids for wanting out of here during that time. I wouldn't boo Pharrell Payne - I get it. The way Carrington left the program was gross but I'm sure he'll still blame the U.

That poster has about 10 different screen names. Yes, he took exception to calling Trevor Winter an important piece of the Final 4 Team and a former NBA player. He also thought Kadyn Betts was going to be better than Winter. He is still posting here under at least 2 names.

As to your main point, you're right. There probably has never been a player whose skill set better fits a program than Nolan Winter and Wisconsin.

No one argued he was a good NBA player but he certainly played in the NBA. The point of the conversation was whether or not Trevor Winter was an important part of Gopher basketball. He was the first big of the bench in the Final Four team and he had a cup of coffee in the NBA. There are a lot of Gopher greats who are probably jealous of that cup of coffee.

I'll give the combined NBA stats of Jordan Murphy, Nate Mason, Joey King, Vincent Grier, and Blake Hoffarber.

Settle down. I acknowledged that he was indeed an NBA player, just having a little fun.

I hope your weekend is as pleasant as you are.
