Bowls Next Year

I believe they are given two years to become an 8 team conference. (Could be wrong on the number of teams).

Took some doing, but I believe I have found the correct bylaw in the NCAA DI Manual. Enjoy!

I believe that many of the bowls have tie ins to the hosting cities....

Not sure if this is what you meant, but I think the host city's tourism departments/boards (whatever) are usually (lower tier) sponsors of the bowl game.

The big ones are all established in their host towns and stadiums. I think the only possibly slot we could take is a minor bowl that is fairly new or perhaps not doing that great and would be open to kicking the tires on a change.


Still tough for me to think that many people would be willing to fly, short notice at Delta's ransom prices, to cold Minneapolis for a minor bowl. Maybe I'm wrong.
