We were in one at that AA Bowl this year for a Tennessee OL. He had the hats of Tennessee, South Carolina, Minnesota, and Florida on the table. Hometown Tennessee got selected.

Watching the interview posted above… I think I’m as excited about this recruitment on the level of a Rashod Bateman, Bucky Irving, or Koi Perich! He’s a better public speaker at 17 than I am at 40!

True....but in cases like this the school that scares me the most is the hometown school and he already has a Tennessee offer (to go along with a number of other power 4 offers). So I like our chances of hanging onto him.

Wow, super excited about this pickup! In the era of decommits, portal, NIL, etc., he just seems very level-headed and relieved to have made a decision. Already talking about how glad he is to have committed early to he can focus on his senior season and start recruiting other 2026 players to Minnesota. Love it.
