I was laughing at Bo Ryan clock management near the end of OT. HAHAHAHA. what was he thinking.

Exactly what I was thinking but like the Doc said we beat that grinch bastard!

I was bewildered by that. Why wouldn't you want to preserve time there? All I can think of is that they thought Jackson was a good enough defender to force Dre to pass to a lesser free thrower. WRONG.

A foul there gives 15 seconds more opportunity for us to piss down our own leg. That was an absolute gift.

I wonder if they're calling for Bo's head on the Badger boards right now?

That's the only thing I could think of. But for that to happen, Jackson would have had to put much more pressure on Hollins.

This was one of the first times I've seen the Wisconsin coaching staff make such a boneheaded move. Good for us, however.

Something about Bo Ryan screwing up there makes me really really happy. Also, what a moron move by Scuba Steve running on the baseline! I am on cloud nine. Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

Tonight followed by the disaster of the Michigan game should make people question Bo's coaching chops. Lots of baffling decisions lately.

You stole the post right out of my head. I supposed if he could get him to give it up, it might be brilliant, but it sure worked in our favor.

He may be having some Senior Moments. (No offense Dr. Don.)

100%. Made a huge blunder in the Michigan game, a huge blunder tonight & coughed up a win to a down & out Gopher squad when Sconnie had led the whole game. Love it. Fire Bo!

Don is always good for some laughs. Tiny balls.

Why do you laugh at that, tinyballs. We won the god damned game, didn't we?

We won the game, but it wasn't because Tubby is a genius at the end of the game. He called a T.O. and drew up a play that ended with a 25 foot desperation heave.

Obviously your Kool-aid is affecting your eyesight, Dickless Don!

I think you would have been better off not making a comeback at all.

Is this whole thread full of sarcasm that I am missing?

Tubby a better end game coach than Bo?
Bo making mistakes this year when he has one of his least talented teams ahead of our Gophers in the standings...again (and without their projected starting PG)

I thought Bo's team got a lot better looks at the basket in OT than the Gophers did, they just didn't make any shots.

I'm guessing that if he goes 5 years with zero NCAA wins, they will.

Bo Ryan came into a much better situation at Wisconsin than Tubby did at Minnesota. Wisconsin was coming off three straight NCAA berths and two years removed from a Final Four appearance. Minnesota was coming off a season of 7 total wins. It's possible it would have taken Bo more time to make the tournament if he had come into a less desirable situation.

Is it bad coaching by Bo that his team couldn't score a bucket in over 9 minutes of game time? Or how about the shot by Jackson to end the game - desperation and it didn't even come within 2 feet of the rim. Must be bad coaching...

Coaches can only do so much, then it comes down to players. Our biggest problem this year hasn't been coaching, it has been an inability to shoot. We simply only have 2 players that can make a jump shot on the entire team. Not real hard to defend against, and much less to do with coaching.

I'd agree, except that we have a 6 year track record to go by, not just this season.

Byron Scott, coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, was asked what play he drew up for a potential game winner against the Spurs-

"I told them to get the ball to Kyrie (Irving) and see if he could make something happen"

It's a common thing to do, believe it or not.

When the Gophers land a 5 star freshman (maybe Rashad Vaughn) are we allowed to call it our least talented team in years? Even while we have a 4-star big man?

Speaking of that 5-star recruit, how is Bo letting his best offensive threat play only 22 minutes in that game? Coleman struggled to keep up with Dekker any time he was on the floor, and Dekker had a major advantage in height/length. I realize Ryan's MO is to not play freshmen a ton, particularly because of defense, but this kid isn't the average incoming frosh to UW either.
