Bo Ryan and the Minnesota players

Yes Royboy....he took an approach much like Tubby Smith and allowed Wade to have the system decide.

EDIT: I even forgot what ever happened with Wade. Charged with a felony, down to disorderly conduct down to no charges at all.

Not exactly.

Wade was arrested and charged with felony battery. Bo Ryan suspended him 2 games. He played the whole season. After the season, he plead guilty to lesser charges of bail jumping and disorderly conduct with two years of probation and violence counseling.

Mbakwe was suspended the entire season. All charges were dropped.

See the difference?

Bo did NOT kick Diamond Taylor off the team, who knows how it would of played out had he decided to stay, wisconisn fans are a joke.

Seriously, roy? We're going to start dissecting this crap? Go ahead. Knock yourself out.

Don't blame me you got the facts wrong. It makes Bo Ryan look softer on discipline than you like to admit, I'm guessing that's why you're mad.

I know the details. You are looking at them through a Gopher lens and then comparing it to Tubby's policy toward similar situations. It's a ridiculous waste of time.

You are right FTB- somehow I was thinking (wrongly) that Taylor came out of HS in the same year as Leuer. I stand corrected. Thanks.

Because Nolen was just a freshman I don't think Minnesota looked at Taylor that closely, Monsen was still the coach. They went hard at Bergeron and didn't get him though.

If its such a waste of time you can stop. You claimed Wade's charges were dropped when they were not.

Roy.....charges of battery were dropped:

From the article:

Wisconsin police first called it felony battery, then reduced the charge to disorderly conduct.
http://www.daytondailynews.com/s/content/oh/story/sports/college/csu/2007/12/12/ddn121307arch.html

Please find for me where saying that he no longer had "battery charges" is wrong. Or STFU.

By the way, when charges of battery got dropped, Wade got his second chance. When he didn't follow the plan, he was run.

You're acting like Bo is hiding some felon. It was disorderly conduct. Not battery. Just so you understand, in Madison if you have tits and walk into the Madison police and tell them some guy hit you or threatened you, they charge the guy. This isn't Minneparis where they are finding bodies in the streets nightly that they have to investigate. As is always the case, the Madison police swung hard, then drop the heavy charges and give something small to a guy like Wade. Bo let him have a second chance like our boy Tubby does, and when he didn't follow the plan, they dismissed him.

Keep grasping for straws.

Not exactly my friend.

1) Wade's plea bargain was struck April 15, AFTER the season was over. He was allowed to play the whole season with battery charges still pending. FACT.

2) Boo Wade was never "run" from the team. You totally made that up. I dare you to find some proof of this. No, I beg you.

3) you said the charges were reduced to "no charges at all" Not true. If you meant "no battery charges" you should have said so. Again, Wade was allowed to play with battery charges pending, then they were reduced after the season was over. Similar to Mbakwe, except Mbakwe didn't play all year and all charges were dropped for Mbakwe.

You're really taking this information very personally. I'm not saying Bo Ryan did the wrong thing, I'm just pointing out the facts. I'm sorry you don't like it.

This is interesting to hear. JohnnyGopher has the best sources around.

Jordan Taylor wasn't a slouch coming out of high school, but neither was he an all B10 lock, either. When one looks at our similarly situated players, there seems to be much more of a plateau in development.

Well, nobody is an all-Big 10 lock but Jordan Taylor is one of the 3 quickest guards I have ever seen in MN HS ball (Kunze, El-Amin, Taylor). They are the A's. Nolen is a B. And on basketball skills Taylor was a B and Nolen a C coming out. My point being Nolen has developed about as much as Taylor in college, from a lower starting point to a lower finish.

ryan's team would be horrible if they didn't have the MINNESOTA kids. Hopefully no more MINNESOTA kids want to play for the grinch and his style of play.

Taylor isn't even the quickest Taylor to come out of MN in the last 10 years. That would be Kammron.
