Black Monday NFL coaching firing thread

Per The Athletic, here’s the breakdown of potential rookie HCs and former HCs who have been contacted by teams for interviews.

The Steelers will be interviewing Flo as well.

Already seen some things on X about Cardinals fans that will lose their minds if they hire Vance Joseph, but they can just FEEL Bidwill doing something like that. I have to admit, that would not be a very inspiring hire. VJ has some PHX ties, he was the DC for the Cardinals several years ago.

Seeing a lot of people that like Klint Kubiak to get either the Raiders or Cardinals, but he'll be in demand in other places also.

With the teams still playing that have candidates in demand, I don't know that we'll see many more hires any time soon

I could definitely get behind this move for the Cardinals. A year or so ago I would have slapped myself on the side of the head for saying such a thing.

As a fan, I'd be most interested in Minter and Shula out of that list of candidates. I'd be surprised if they both don't land a HC gig in this cycle. I'll go with:

Minter to LV
Shula to BAL

I don't know if he's still rolling with this look or he's cleaned it up recently but you gotta respect the mullet Davis Webb has gone with at times. Respect. Totally looks like a dude you could sit down with and have a few beers, talk about football

It wouldn’t shock me if Pittsburgh hired Flores, as he has a similar profile to Tomlinson and Chowder and was there in 2022 (IIRC), before going to the Vikes.

I read Ravens are having preliminary interviews with 16 candidates, and from there will cull it down to 4-5 for second interviews; I don’t see Pitt doing that.

An intriguing candidate, he'll have to show really strong in his interviews and like the blurb says, showing that he can bring a coaching staff of heavy hitters could really help his situation. Still not sure he gets a job as a HC but he'll get work somewhere without a doubt

He seems like someone that would be a perfect fit as the OC for a guy like Shula if he gets hired in CLE.

Always have to take second interviews a little seriously. Some teams are likely closing in on their prime candidate. Still lots of guys though that are coaching this weekend on playoff teams

That is a fake account. the person is real person who is a attorney from California. not a reporter.

When I first dug into it, before Harbaugh got linked with the Giants, at first glance it looked legit. Now that you say this, I took a deeper dive and it appears this is not legit. But hey, he could end up being right!

I'm usually not a fan of hiring "retreads" but I like this one for ATL. As an offensive coach first, it's going to seem like he died and went heaven with Bijan, London and Pitts. He had diddly squat to work with in CLE.
