Biz Journal: Schwan's offers a hefty donation to U of M for athletics, food programs

per the Business Journal:

Schwan Food Co. is giving $1 million to the University of Minnesota.

Schwan's CEO Dimitrios Smyrnios broke the news on Tuesday at a luncheon hosted by the Carlson School of Management at the university's alumni center.

The package includes a $250,000 sponsorship of the Gopher athletics program and $300,000 for the design and construction of a nutrition center within the university's new Center of Excellence, which will be a 15,000-square-foot facility for the school's 750 student athletes.
