Hart had a great game today. Gophers lack of quickness and not being tough with the ball cost them this game. Trying to play catchup the entire game just adds additional pressure to play perfect.
Shouldn’t drop from the 4 line IMO, but for us to be successful we need Tori on the court and Braun has to play with more composure.
 

This team has been able to slay past demons like beating top 10 team, beating good team on the road, not playing on opening day, winning when Sloane is on call but dang, couldn’t slay the one and done in the Big Ten Tournament. Still some post season ahead. Hoping this doesn’t jeopardize a 4 seed.
 

Tough game. If you told me at the beginning of the season we'd split the regular season game and a tournament game with OSU, I'd gladly have taken that tradeoff.

Looking at all of our losses, it's so clear that we struggle when Tori isn't able to play her full minutes, whether it's injury, illness, or foul trouble.
 

Disappointing. The Gophers were tight; poor defense, too many turnovers, and lost too many 50:50 balls. I hate underhanded shovel passes into the paint; most big players are not agile enough to pick up balls at their ankles. Too much dribbling and getting swallowed by the crowd. The pressure of the tournament and from Ohio State got the Gophers out of their game. Hart played hard and did her part. GG, Braun, and Battle didn't step up. McKinney tried but got into foul trouble. I will be surprised if they get a high enough seed to host in the NCAA.
 



Just don't understand why we let the shot clock become the 6th defender. In our big W stretch and even @iowa we were not afraid to let the shots fly. OSU had 64 shot attempts to our 54. 26 arc attempts to our 18 despite us way out rebounding them 44 to 27.

Well onto the NCAA where it is W or done I guess. Long season, but end of season can happen quickly. Ugh!
 

I didn't find it fun. We beat ourselves. It was there for the taking. Played great defense like we've done all year (holding OSU to 60 pts). But poor shooting outside the paint, sloppy unforced turnovers, getting our pockets picked too often. How often did we get a rebound or loose ball only to be tied up for a jump ball. I look at those as turnovers.
Now is true test for Coach P. Can she get them refocused now that we've gotten to the tournament. We need to play like we did during that 9 game win streak. We can't repeat the execution of the last 3 games.
 

This is not a bad loss when the committee is looking at top 16. The win at Illinois was big.

Only way we don’t host in my opinion is if North Carolina and West Virginia win their conference tournament. We have more Q1 wins and better NET. Kentucky already took over Michigan State spot with the loss to Illinois yesterday.
 

Every game but Maryland that we have lost is when we have scored 61 pts or less. OSU got us rattled with the full court, but still we passed up way to many shot attempts to only then turnover the ball forcing a pass or getting picked. At the end we finally had a few ball movements and took shots but was a bit too late.

Weird end of the year where you get double bye so have 5 days rest until 1st big 10 tourney game, now we will have nearly 2 weeks for NCAA game.

Agree with everything you wrote except about Grace. She scored 18 points on 8 for 14 shooting, with 7 rebounds and 4 assists. She did have 4 turnovers, but a solid game otherwise. If everyone else had played her level (and Hart's), they would have won easily.

I have never seen a good press break where at times there were 4 offensive players in the backcourt you help the press by doing that… clutters things up..

She is really not that good a ball handler, loose handle so she has to fend off the defensive player. That said way too much dribbling.
 

In my opinion this team has been off ever since the Michigan State loss, even in games they have won. There has been some really bad shooting by key members of the team. It just seems like something is missing compared to what they had going during the winning streak.
 

I still like to watch this team. But I also anxiously look forward to the day that Glenn and Tonga move on. We were rolling until the usual 4 minute subs and then lost our momentum. It’s really like playing two ladies short.

Personally I have enjoyed Tonga and she has had some big games for us.

I think it’s just more noticeable when a loss comes.
I mean we played in foul trouble, missed Tori for most of the game, had 21 TO, and didn’t shoot the 3 well to only lose by 5 points.
We will be okay.
 

In the post game, the analysts pointed out that the Gophers turned it over on one-third of their possessions.
 

Didn’t get a chance to watch the game, followed online. Seems we lose too much speed when Torri is out and struggle to get the ball up court which throws everything off.
