The important bit:
2021 BIG TEN HOCKEY TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
QUARTERFINALS
Sunday, March 14

12 p.m. ET: No. 4 Notre Dame vs. No. 5 Penn State
4 p.m. ET: No. 2 Minnesota vs. No. 7 Michigan State
8:30 p.m. ET: No. 3 Michigan vs. No. 6 Ohio State

SEMIFINALS
Monday, March 15

4:30 p.m. ET: No. 1 Wisconsin vs. No. 4 Notre Dame/No. 5 Penn State
8:30 p.m. ET: Semifinal #2

Tuesday, March 16
8 p.m. ET: Championship Game
Should we beat MSU, I would hazard a guess we'll be playing Michigan in the Semifinal. If the tournament emulates the results of the regular season, we'll see something close to the following (winners bolded):

Here's to hoping we defy our regular season results in the Championship game should things play out like this.

Your "something close to the following" is just all the top seeds winning every single game...

There will be at least one upset.

The seeding and head to head results in the regular season lined up perfectly in this case. Likely since basically all the games played were conference games.

Let's go boys! Win the tournament!

One game, one upset already

If they can’t win this one, I have to wonder if they can compete in the Frozen Four😳

They won't be making the Frozen Four if they can't beat MSU. So that won't be anything to wonder about.

Do they go to a shootout if they don't score in OT? I don't know how this works any longer in College Hockey.

Gotta come out tomorrow all guns a blazin.

Simplest thing to say about this game

It's survive and advance season. We did both.

Tough team to figure out. Hopefully we'll take care of business better Monday.

Another Motzko coached team getting the tournament shakes...

If they lose tomorrow will they still be in the Frozen Four?

If you are talking the 16 team NCAA tournament, yes they will be in. They woulda been in even with a loss today no question.

Frozen Four is the final 4 teams which requires two wins. Bonin was saying that if we can't even beat MSU today its not likely we are going to win two games in a couple weeks.

•In the final minute of the second period, Gophers defenseman Brock Faber, a finalist for Big Ten Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, slid headfirst into the boards and was assisted off the ice. He did not return to the game, and Motzko said he is doubtful to play Monday.

The loss of Faber is a massive blow. He is a guy with Gold Medal game experience and the ability to shut down NHL bound forwards. If he's out for the NCAA, the Gophers title hope take a hit.

My guess is he failed concussion protocol. So there is mild hope he may get back before the NCAA tournament, but there's a chance he might not :/

Did none of these kids grow up learning the value of putting pucks on the net??

We just had the puck in the Michigan zone for like 45 seconds and didnt even ATTEMPT to shoot the puck. We literally did like 5 laps around the zone. What the hell.

Finally pass it for a turnover and then take a penalty 10 seconds later.

SHOOT.

When this team loses, it seems like everybody falls in love with their own magical puckhandling skills. Little things like shooting and trying to score are secondary. And this game has had a ton of it. They fully deserve a 2-0 deficit.
