Go Gophers!!

There are alot of great things being talked about, but this is hands down the best news to see at the Media Days. Good for you, Coach. That's awesome to see.

per the Pioneer Press:

Redshirt sophomore running back Berkley Edwards has added a dozen pounds to weigh about 202 pounds entering fall camp, Gophers coach Jerry Kill said Friday at Big Ten media days.

Edwards, who also has run track at Minnesota, is one of the fastest Gophers but needed to bulk up to be considered a possible every-down back.

"I'm very excited about Berkley Edwards because he's got to get over (just) speed," Kill said.

Kill shows he's a class act. Big props for Jerry!!

Harbaugh comes out snarky. I dislike him more than ever.

Harbaugh was snarky and will be easy to dislike. In his defense that first question was inane.

For the new badger coach, it seriously looked like this was the first time he ever had to speak in public. As someone who is not the best public speaker, I won't rip him too much - but good gravy was he hard to watch. He reminded me of Chris Farley from the Chris Farley Show on SNL. Obviously, for those trolls out there pretending to be Gopher fans, none of this has anything to do with his ability to coach but I doubt you have to worry about him being lured away by a better program.

He was painful to watch. Not nearly as painful as watching Beckman spelling out Oskee (...or just Beckman in general). In other news... Theiren Cockran, & Briean Boddy-Calhoun sported the one hand mic hold while Leidner used the two hand death grip. (It's a slow day at work)

Remember when......that was awesome!

Beckman seems like a decent enough guy, but he's such a lightweight. Out of his league as a Big Ten coach. Felt bad for him. The B1G Media Days started with Mark Dantonio, the consummate pro in terms of having everything you need to be a big-time coach, and then Beckman has to follow him on the podium. Poor guy. ... that was like going from filet mignon to Hamburger Helper. That Oskee thing was Little League material, embarrassing.

Beckman just comes off as a big doofus. I've thought that from his very first B1G media days speech.....and he's getting worse.
