Chicago Tribune: Minnesota looking to make strides

After an eight-win season that included a four-game win streak, it would seem Minnesota would feel satiated with last season's success.

Not so, said Gophers coach Jerry Kill.

"When we came back from our (Texas) Bowl game and we had a team meeting, I shared with our kids: 'Right now you should be starving,'" Kill said Monday at Big Ten media day in Chicago. "We made some great strides last year. We did some good things. We've done some things that hadn't been done for a while. Now we have to take it another step."

Lets see. Talking about Mitch and they go into 4 or 5 plays of Mitch looking good.

Talking about Cobb and they show 5 or 6 of his runs that brought a smile to my face.

Talking about Ced Thompson and they start out with a sack celebration by Cockran, followed up by a sideline shot of Ced at the spring game and into a pass breakup by Ced, and finish with a nice tackle by Damien Wilson. I mean, the 5 and the 2 in our uniform font look kind of similar, but COME ON, BTN. WFT?

Can't believe that ESPN and CNNSI don't have a Big Ten story on their CFB pages right now. WTF?
 

Was KFAN or ESPN1500 there today? Pretty sad we have to go to a Wisconsin radio station to get interviews of Gopher players. I'm not seeing anything on demand on either station.
