B1G Tournament, Game #2: #7 Gophers v. #2 wisconsin [BTN, 5:30PM]

One other thing I've noticed is we've been doubling A LOT, usually in situations where we don't have to. That has been leading to a ton of open looks for Wisconsin.

This has been a consistent problem since Tubby took over as coach over half a decade ago.

Which team was taking the ball to the rim with consistency? Which is shooting almost all jump shots? Which team has 4 more fouls called against them?

maybe the team taking the ball with consistency should make a few of those chances at the rim.

but nah has to be the refs fault they can't make shots inside the paint.

has nothing to do with fouls. 6 total fouls called on Gophers and Badgers shot 1 FT in the 1st half.

Gophers poor shooting the issue.

Would the lack of fouls called on wily have anything to do with it?

Lack of fouls called = lack of ft for MN = less points.

Math not your strong suit?

Trouble is, the refs are just as likely to call 25 or 30 fouls in the second half. That will totally disrupt our chances.

Ok, glad your opinion is the only one that matters.

Wish they'd actually call fouls on Wisconsin. That is how we won the first game, Kaminsky got two quick ones and that really helped us. I think they've had about 5 fouls total in 1.5 games since that first match up.

excuses your strong suit I see

You obviously don't play basketball yourself, and don't understand how hard it can be to make shots when you get fouled.

you don't understand that the refs are not the reason the Gophers are losing at this point.

Refs are F$#%ing blowing Bo hard this game. Really frustrating when we can't make bunnies and Red is getting all the calls...

NO, there is no excuse for the Gophers being so tight and allowing too many open looks from wisky.

Shots not falling is an issue.

Care to admit your error?

what error did I make. Said the Gophers aren't losing because of the refs. Shooting the issue which from your post it appears you agree.

Dre looks lost on both ends

I'd try to get King some more looks. He's the only one hitting jump shots.

looks like he has never played the game.

Not sure if I've ever seen a teams 'best player' regress this much.

how the heck did my post go through first???

Remember the Dre that scored 41 against Memphis last year. I miss that Dre.

Didn't say they were the reason the Gophers were losing, and nobody else said that either. Said that they have had a significant effect and no doubt the gophers are losing much worse than they should be. You deny that, and that shows that you don't know basketball.

He's really bad today on both ends of the court. Gophers have no one to replace him with. Mav would be my only guess. Smith would have been a great choice, had he not fallen off the cliff (and stayed there) 3 weeks ago.
