B1G match 5: Gophers visit Michigan 10-1-25

I see Schnichels hasn't played since 9/6. Is she hurt or just not being used?

I'm not sure. I watched a few of the early non-con matches of Michigan and she was playing regularly.

Well MSU swept them, and we swept MSU. This should be a walk in the park, right?

I do not think the B1G is very good this year, not after Nebraska and maybe 3-4 other teams. And Nebraska may be the only top ten team. Not sure about Wisky.

Can't wait to see how far they drop after this pathetic performance tonight.

Words can't describe the poor play.
Injuries aside, could be a long season.

😂 Effing MN. Pathetic!! Typical MN team. Will NEVER win a Natty. Not even men’s hockey. Embarrassing!

It is clear that the team cannot lose another starter.
I don't think it was losing Garr, they played pretty well in that first set. It seems like something out of Space Jam, they came out for that second set and got all the skill zapped out of them.

I definitely want to hear KC explain what was going on with his team. It’s like they just quit trying after the first set. Garr’s passing and defense was sorely missed and did Hanson forget how to play?

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced this was the worst loss in program history. Total embarrassment.

I’ve seen some disappointing performances before but never anything like yesterday.

Any way we could talk Hugh in to coming back? Is he still an associate AD? Is he still involved in Gopher athletics?

I was asking my smoking hot trophy wife who performed well for the Gophers. We came up with an answer. The two young gals who fill the Gatorade were sharp. Well done ladies.

Get Nebraska on a neutral court and they are a different team too. Home court and fan support sure makes a difference...we all know that. As I have stated elsewhere, huge difference on so many teams with 4-5 year players all graduating last year. IMO we are finally seeing many young teams made up of Freshman and Sophomore players not only in the BIG but throughout the sport.

I have no inside information but you know how a team just shuts down? Well that is what we witnessed and maybe we had a form of "mutiny" that took place in this match. The errors started happening and it got in all their heads and Cook was not happy and his response as usual was to start switching players. As we all witnessed. it then became a total train wreck.

Cook stated Garr is a short term injury. Not sure what the timeline is but pass and receive is going to suffer.

Odd that losing your frosh libero makes you play like a bottom 15-18 B1G team. Did he offer any other explanations?

Seriously, this match made zero sense.
