She was never money… Lisa Bluder called it Braun is a volume shooter….
She has always been a high volume, low efficiency shooter...even before she was hurt. What's happened to Braun? She used to be money. Now I cringe when she's going to shoot.
Have to remember this is her 1st big 10 game play since Jan 2024, 2 seasons ago. Almost 2 years and after 2 injuries. Think would help if they could get her roll of screens for her mid jumpers instead of popping out behind the arc always. She can't be healthy.. Or just real indecisive on that foot
She’s had a lot of missed time. She can come back next year but she might end up at a different program and fit better. She can't be healthy.. Or just real indecisive on that foot

She’s played 64 games to Battle’s 114 and GG’s 80.
Similar to the players that left Indiana for Maryland and Kansas. That’s my prediction based on nothing but my dumb opinion… she won’t be back.. Oregon..

For comparison, Mara's shooting percentages coming into this year were no worse than Carlie Wagner's through her first three seasons, but I was hoping she'd be able to make the leap Carlie Wagner made her senior year (which helped the Gophers have their last surprisingly decent season). That’s definitely not money….the telling stat is what she shoots on two point shots.. and her overall shooting percentage.. IMO
Definitely can see her at Oregon with her bestie Heyer. Wouldn’t shock me if GG wanted to go someplace new where she can get to the tournament in her last year. That’s my prediction based on nothing but my dumb opinion… she won’t be back.. Oregon..
Lastly, there may have been more of an attitude, off-court things going on that turned coaches off about Addi. There were questions about whether she was a good teammate/good locker room addition.
What a choke job
Agree. This loss hurts but U have to learn how to finish. Our veteran leaders Battle, Braun n Hart did not do enough to get the W. Luckily, the players n coaches don’t base anything from this board and realize if they can take MD to OT they have the potential to win some big games.I think they can still make the tournament if Braun and Battle can bring their B- game.. lots of mediocrity after the top 20….
Everyone who is rabidly pro-Mack should re-read this and really think about what it means.
I also agree on the physicality issue. Now that she's getting so much attention teams will actually have scouting reports on her. She's really not that hard to stop when she plays against people bigger and stronger than her, especially if they bang her up a bit. She avoided it in high school by playing for a small school and leaving her original AAU EYBL team once she hit high school age and the size differential became a problem. It will be shocking to me if she can successfully run the Big10 gauntlet.
Not sure I understand the comparison, but effective field goal percentage (EFG%) is the better metric, because it takes into the higher value of the 3 pointer, and implicitly takes into account the volume of 3s vs 2s. Volume is important, especially with someone like Clark who took so many 3s.https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/player/stats/_/id/4858666/mara-braun
Beg to differ, was up to 36.4% 3PT before the injuries her sophomore season. 34.9% freshman year. Caitlin Clark was 37.7% overall for comparison. Has struggled getting to the hoop and getting the easier layups though.

She is not hard to stop when she plays against bigger and stronger people? You wanted me to read that crap. She scored 16 pts against us are we small weaklings. She had 8 rebounds. She looks like she is maybe 5 feet tall. Our center Hart only had 6 rebounds. Did you not watch the game? I know nothing about why we did not offer her but to say she can't play against big time competition after this game is equivalent to saying Minnesota really sucks.Everyone who is rabidly pro-Mack should re-read this and really think about what it means.

I really liked when they went small with 5 guards today. Hopefully this was a good test case to show it could work against other Big Ten opponents when Sophie needs a breather. My observation. It seems that Coach P decided to play Glynn and leave Hart and Tonga out once she got Tori back. I suspect it was to try to match the speed of MD.
Is this the question you are referring to? You clearly are special. At least that's what your momma tells you. Clearly basketball isn't your expertise and not so sure English is either.Did count yours?
...and when Hart is making less than one-third of her shots in the game, almost all right under the basket. (At this point, she is barely above 50 percent on the entire season, including all of those cupcake opponents.)I really liked when they went small with 5 guards today. we couldn't get a whistle on the drive.. meanwhile if a maryland player was just slightly bumped it was a foul under the basket.. GG's 5th foul wasn't a foul.. she didn't touch her at all she was just off balance because she was trying to draw the foul and threw herself towards Grace..My observation. I didn't understand the reluctance to drive on #7 from mid-4th quarter on when she had 4 fouls. Getting her out of the game would have swung things heavily in MN's favor. Then again, it wasn't easy to trust the refs to actually call the foul on a drive.
Brenda is a master of working the officials. The better teams already get the benefit of the doubt. Overall, we shot a lot of FT’s. As bad as we handled the press today we needed more from our veterans .we couldn't get a whistle on the drive.. meanwhile if a maryland player was just slightly bumped it was a foul under the basket.. and #7 should have fouled out at least 3 times... when she tackled Amaya in the 1st OT.. and then when she went over Amaya's back early in the 2nd OT but somehow they called Amaya for a foul..
Long past time for Hart to start making the easier shots. Last year, Senior, probably last time playing basketball competitively. Time for her Hart to step up her game. Hart's shooting percentage not good for a player touching the ball that much. Braun has been a poor shooter this year too....and when Hart is making less than one-third of her shots in the game, almost all right under the basket. 2 years of missing most the season may be washed at this pointWhat's happened to Braun? She used to be money. Now I cringe when she's going to shoot.
