Awesome atmosphere last night!!!

With regard to the parachute drop in someone reported it as an airplane crash and 911 put in a call for such due to the caskets insisting a plane had crashed

I want to apologize to the guy in 209 who was mad the whole game. Apparently my lack of standing (which I thought was just a joke on this forum) actually seemed to ruin his night. I spend a lot of time analyzing the scheme and the offensive adjustments and that limits my ability to chug a beer and scream stupidly.

TCU fan here. Just stopped by to say thanks to all the classy Gopher fans that I met. Really made the game day experience great for me and my son. When I saw this game on the schedule, I hesitated to book the trip because I thought Minnesota fans might be cut from the same cloth as the Wisconsin fans I had the 'pleasure' of meeting at the Rose Bowl a few years ago. But your two fan bases couldn't be more different. I didn't hear one F-bomb all night!

The game day experience was wonderful. Your stadium is beautiful. My only complaint is that the music the PA system blared is too loud but that is the case everywhere now-a-days. Also, the officiating reviews pretty much took the fun out of the second half. I don't know why it takes ten... twelve minutes to make a friggin call.

Thanks for the post WCJ. Glad you and your son had a great trip. We had a great trip last year at TCU, so glad it was reciprocated.

I'm especially glad you didn't trust your initial instincts thinking our fan base is anything like that of wisconsin's. We couldn't be more different and your bad experience with them is a widely held opinion.

Good luck the rest of the season.

Go Gophers!!

I was amazed though how many people left with 5 minutes to go.

+1

My favorite was the guy a couple rows back calling people pu$$ies for leaving with 5:33 to go, only for him to leave around the 3:30 minute mark. After forcing the punt we went down and scored. Hoping one of these times we will get a huge comeback and maybe that would changes the tide of people leaving early. I get that the traffic is terrible leaving the game though.

We waited until the end, then got stuck in the ramp because of that horrible accident on 4th Street. Though nobody knew why at the time. After about 30-40 minutes of waiting without any movement, walked to the East side of the ramp. Woman walked over and said she left with 7 minutes to go and had been there for about an hour already. She lived in St.Louis Park and told the babysitter they'd be home by Midnight. Bet she was't the only one in that predicament.

We got home at 1:45AM. So guessing that she got home around 1:30 or so. Glad it was her in-laws that were babysitting.

I can't fault people for leaving, there could be lots of valid reasons why. It was really late on a work night, and with it being a prime time TV game it was longer than normal I didn't get home until about 2am.

My trip to Camp Randall last year included more than 1 Badger fan ripping on Jerry's epilepsy..........so tough to hear and not sink to their level but at the end of the day I have a job and am not an alcoholic which is more than roughly 85% of Wisconsin residents can say. I also have a full set of teeth, moving me into the 99th percentile of Wisconsin residents when all 3 of those traits are considered.

Atmosphere was greatest I have seen yet, including the '09 Air Force game which did not include the added Vikings seats. Now we just need to hope the students can still make it when they aren't given a free ticket. On to CSU!

I was very happy with the student section. I always get there as the gates open and I'm near the front of the line. When I got to the student entrance on Thursday I was backed up on to the grass. Loved to see that, however, I was disappointed at how loud our students were cheering when we were on offense. I assume it has to do with all the freshmen who were just excited to be there and hopefully that doesn't happen again, but please don't try to yell and start cheers when we're on offense.
