Are you cheering for WI...

Same to you, can't take off the maroon and gold tinted glasses and be realistic, everything is just kitties and bunnies. People cheering for Wisconsin, you should all feel ashamed.

Yeah, right...but I'd never be able to have a true basketball discussion with you about the game, what needs improvement, players that need development, etc...because you have no clue, and don't even watch the games.

Seriously, there's nothing wrong with being the 'grounded' poster willing to point out flaws, but you've taken it way overboard and now are using personal attacks. You have an insightful thing to say now and then, but grow up. I don't know her personally, but GL is one of the most respected and reasonable contributors to this site. If you can't get along with her, you're not going get along with anyone. Grow up.

If you're going to be a grounded respectable person, how about you see how I was personally attacked first? Come on now, maybe you're the one who should grow up.

Ahem - someone who needs to bump their own posts...

I am a Gopher fan, and so is everyone here...however, I'm also a Big Ten fan, and most people here are too as well. If you want to win every game, that's fine, but to wish an 0-12 start to everyone else in the conference...that's just plain dumb. The better your conference does in the non-conference, the more respect you're going to get. Whether you want to admit to it or not, it's games like these that may get another Big Ten team in the NCAA tournament in the end. And frankly, the Gophers may be that team. They've got their own house to get in order, to be sure, but it's games like these that may help them an awful lot come March.

Never able to have a true discussion because you don't have high basketball IQ or what? I've missed one half of one game over the past few years. I don't have a clue? How about you see the thread I started after the Portland loss. I pointed out every factual flaw and said it would continue to be a problem. People ripped me. I was right. The real reason you can't have a true discussion with me is because you're unwilling to say a negative word about anybody, which is fine but doesn't make for a realistic outlook on the team.

I cheer for every other Big 10 team besides Wisconsin. I hope every Big 10 team besides them wins every single non-conference game, and the Badgers go 0-12.

Here here, ATTF. Winning the BT/ACC challenge means the BT is UP this year.

Really? Because I'm pretty sure you first said you lost so much respect for so many people on the board - for cheering for the BT. I reciprocated.

Anyways, I wish you a good life, you're now the 2nd poster this week I'm not longer going to respond to.

What about Iowa?

They are just incredibly irrelevant in basketball, so I suppose I don't really care. I hate them much more in football, but it's hard to do so in basketball when they look like a division 3 team every single night.

Says the guy with "TubbytownUSA" as his moniker. Why is it that posters with the most fanish monikers have the biggest blowups when things turn a little sour?

Just remember, when you jump off the bandwagon, don't land in front of the wheels...

Whatever. I'll put you back on my ignore list, it's not worth the batte for your occassial useful post. You're clearly not mature enough to have any sort of rational discussion with. Pick fights with even the most respected people on here like Gopher Lady if you want, I honestly don't care. I'm sure she can defend herself, or more likely ignore you just the same as I will.

Yes, I said I lost respect for many people. I never personally called you out or questioned your intelligence until you did so to me. I made a blanket statement that I couldn't respect cheering for Wisconsin, and you choose to turn around and personally attack me.

Another person you're no longer going to respond to? Was it necessary to throw that in there like I'd really care? I much more appreciate people who will respond reasonably to what I say, not just be blind about our teams problems. Like I said, I have nothing against you and never have, but once you go out of your way to personally attack me and can't handle me doing the same to you, I can't help but just laugh.

I'm going to say that the people who have the biggest blowups are the biggest fans, hence having the most "fanish" moniker. If you can't tell, watching our team lose pisses me off incredibly. I can't stand losing to terrible teams, I care too much about our team.

All of you obviously support the team and hope they do well, but those who are affected the most are those who care the most. When things turn sour, the people who care the most are the people who want it to turn around and won't just accept mediocrity.

And in today's pi$$ing contest?

TubbytownUSA against anyone and everyone.

Or those who lack maturity and a sh*t filter.

I"m not questioning your fandom, but having the 'biggest blow-ups' is not a measure of it either, it's simply a sign of immaturity. Immaturity is not a crime, I guess most of us are older then you and were your age once. But that doesn't mean we want to wade through reading your 'biggest fan blow-ups' on 10 different threads after every loss, especially when you seem to take more pleasure it gloating about how 'right' you were about the Gophers losing, then actually caring and looking at what might be improved.

Anyway, carry on with the few who don't chose to ignore you. Hopefully you grow up sooner then later.

Might lack a filter, but not afraid to speak my mind just because some people might not agree. The fact is, I haven't personally attacked anyone unless it was done so to me first, haven't stopped following or supporting the team (just pointed our our flaws, and lowered expectations), and haven't said anything that wasn't factually correct. Obviously some people don't like the realization that these 3 losses have hurt our chances dearly, but someone with "maturity" should be able to see things as they actually are, not through such a skewed lens.

Actually caring and looking at what might be improved? I think I wrote more than anyone on here on what needs to be improved. The only reason I said that I was right was because people ripped me for my views when I stated them, and continue to do so. If people would look at what needs to be improved like I have, none of this would be necessary.

I take no pleasure in being right, but I find it ridiculous that people don't understand how hurtful these losses are and how much trouble our team is in right now. I've said it many times, I'm more than willing to factually discuss our team with anyone and everyone, and never do anything wrong here besides be critical of the team when it is deserved.

I've been in NC for 28 of the last 38 years and it is impossible to understand how much I hate Duke. Besides a Wisconsin win is good for the Big Ten and that means it's good for Minnesota. Go Bucky! It doesn't even hurt to write that. My Grandpa once told me, "Don't ever let your ego or your emotions get in the way of your wallet." A Big Ten victory in the Challenge could help get another team in the dance and that's money in our pocket.

really? just remembering your posts from today, after 97 alumni posted this (which i don't see any attack to you, you responded that he was an idiot):

5) We're not dancing

Do I think the team needs work - absolutely. Do I think all is lost - hell no! We're 7 games into the season that has not been smooth sailing so far.

My goodness - this board is as comical as CatsPause and as reactionary.

Flame away

Maybe you're the idiot then. Those 3 losses are huge. Let's see what you've said so far.

and after you posted your predictions for the challenge today, and picked psu, selection sunday said:

Nice call on PSU TubbyTown, it's amazing you got that one right.

and you replied with this:
Hey a-hole, I just did these so I obviously knew the outcome of the game

with the way you overreact, i'm guessing you'll consider that a personal attack, the rest of us would have considered it a joke. either way, no reason to call one of the best posters an a-hole.

these were just examples from looking at your last page of posts, i can't imagine what else i'd find if i went back from than a day, as you've clearly become the most irrational poster on this board, and that's saying quite a lot.

Pretty simple...

First of all, can I at least say I was cheering for them to win, but not cheering FOR them?

Bottom line:

If you weren't cheering for Wisky to win, you haven't been around long enough to know or care that we (the BT) has lost every one of these Challenges.

For tonight, despite my team's performance, I'm proud of the Big Ten and glad Wisky took care of business at home.

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever....ever ever ever!!
