All Things Signs there is still hope...

Excellent thread, hadn't noticed til now. All these stories have one great thing in common, and that one thing is the entire reason they are notable.

Whatever the hell that means.

Firefighters' Costco Tab Picked Up By Grateful Air Force Wife in Vacaville, Calif.

Firefighters in Vacaville, Calif. were shopping at a Costco over Memorial Day weekend and had to leave the store on an emergency call before they could reach the cashier. When they returned later, however, they not only found their goods waiting for them, they also found a receipt: Someone had footed their $123.25 bill.

"Thanks for being there for us," the good Samaritan wrote. "Have a good weekend."

It was signed, "Air Force Wife."

Lowe's employees come to the rescue of disabled vet with broken wheelchair

In 1971, I stepped on a land mine in Vietnam and lost both legs above the knee.

For the past two years, I have been waiting to receive a new wheelchair from the Veterans Administration. In addition, I have been told that I am not entitled to a spare wheelchair.

On the evening of July 7, my wheelchair fell apart again, while shopping at Lowe's Home Improvement Center in on Forest Avenue in Mariners Harbor.

Three employees, David, Marcus and Souleyman jumped to my assistance immediately. They placed me in another chair while they went to work.

They took the wheelchair apart and replaced the broken parts and told me, "We're going to make this chair like new."

This is a cool story:

WATCH: Indiana pizza delivery driver surprised with tip of lifetime by students

A Marion, Ind., pizza delivery driver was shocked to receive a $1,268 tip in front of thousands of Indiana Wesleyan University students Wednesday morning.

Keith Newman, the CEO of Residential Education, was trying to illustrate a point to 3,000 students at the IWU Chapel: "Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.”

So Newman ordered two pizzas from Domino's Pizza at 10 a.m. His total came out to $12.50.

Delivery driver James Gilpin arrived to the chapel to deliver the two pizzas. He was escorted into the main hall and onto the stage where he was met by thousands of students.

He was then presented with the $1,268 tip, $70 in gift cards and thousands of inspirational notes from students.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/...aves-woman-from-oncoming-train_n_5961526.html

Frankfort Community High School student Colton Essary was driving back to school after lunch recently, when he noticed something out of the ordinary. An elderly woman had fallen onto nearby train tracks and was screaming for help as an oncoming train approached, reported KFVS.Essary threw his truck in park, jumped from the driver's seat and ran to reach the woman before the train did. He got there just in time.

"It wasn't really something you had time to think about," Essary told KFVS. "I had an obligation to help, and if I wouldn't have made it there in time, I couldn't really live with myself. Seeing that happen right in front of me and knowing I didn't do anything to help.".
