All things Players Coming and Going.

Meh, these guys checked out on their team as soon as Chicago made it clear they have spots waiting around New Years.
Do you lie awake at night just thinking of shit to make up?

Looks like Ben Barr lost 5 star ( maybe even a 6 star ) recruit Zach Wooten to UW. And Maine lost a game to lowly Vermont. Yikes... Hopefully he can keep his job after that loss. Looks like a great coaching candidate to me.

Jimmy Lombardi (4th rounder, Michigan commit playing in OHL this year) signs his elc with the kings and will forego college next year

tynan lawrence (1st rounder next year) coming into BU for the 2nd half. Wonder what he'll do for next year then as that doesn't give the impression he's in it for the long haul imo

William Moore (BC freshman and 2nd rounder) traded in the OHL. Has played in all 18 games for BC.

Was traded for a 19 year old putting up about a point per game and is committed to OSU for next year. May be nothing but curious

I blame Bob.
"Penn State men’s hockey forward Gavin McKenna was charged following an alleged altercation in downtown State College late Saturday night. The incident occurred along the 100 block of South Pugh Street, with a report filed at 10:35 p.m.

State College police charged McKenna, 18, with felony aggravated assault that “attempts to cause serious bodily injury or causes injury with extreme indifference,” misdemeanor simple assault, and two summary offenses for disorderly conduct and harassment. If found guilty, McKenna faces up to 20 years in prison on the felony charge alone.

According to sources, the team had been at a downtown bar with friends and family following the outdoor game at Beaver Stadium. During the incident, McKenna allegedly assaulted an unidentified individual, leaving the victim with a broken jaw."

Seems about right for the culture they have built at PSU.

BC locks in the top scoring OHL d-man by points

MSU has the superstar Chase Reid who has second most

Kashawn Aitcheson (first rounder) still available
Cameron Reid (first rounder) still available

i'll be a little surprised if Aitcheson isn't going to try play NHL next year, but is the exact type of guy you'd love to plug and play for a year. Ditto on Cam Reid. And I think all of this is why everyone is excited about Levi Harper who's right in the mix with all of these guys at a year younger (at least).

That said, yeah you should be putting the press on to try get any of them

Rumor that's swirling around is someone said something pretty nasty about his mom and he went after the guy. I don't blame him

I’m sure he didn’t just beat a guy up out of nowhere but if you’re a future #1 pick making six figures as a college hockey player and soon to be eight figures in the NHL you’re going to need some thicker skin. McKenna showed his true colors at the WJC. Incredibly talented but a mental midget.

Generally assaulting some dumbass nobody is not a great move. I get what people are saying about way to stand up for mom, but you’re out with a bunch of parents and families at a bar? Seems like a series of really poor life choices

I’m sure he’ll get off with nothing, PSU will do nothing and he’ll go top 5, but ffs kid use a single brain cell here

Defending his mom changes the story for me. Gets a pass from my end. Maybe he's a douche but family comes first.

Ummm, you can defend your mom without breaking someone’s jaw.
That is 100% true but he is a PSU guy. They play hockey the same way. Someone should tell them that you can also play physical hockey without gooning it up, taking dives and constantly whining to the officials.

the most recent data doesn't look super great

New Information: According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained from the office of Magisterial District Judge Casey McClain, officers were dispatched to Mount Nittany Medical Center on January 31 to speak with a patient being treated for injuries from the assault. Hospital staff informed police that the victim had been punched in the face and suffered fractures on both sides of his jaw that required surgery.

Upon arrival, officers observed significant swelling, dried blood, and a missing tooth, and said the victim was in substantial pain and had difficulty speaking. Two friends in the room told officers that McKenna punched the victim twice on the right side of his face after an exchange of words between their group and McKenna’s group.

Witnesses said the assault occurred around 8:45 p.m. in front of the Pugh Street Parking Garage and recalled seeing blood on the sidewalk afterward. They also suspected McKenna and his group had been coming from Doggie’s Pub following a hockey event after Penn State’s game at Beaver Stadium.

Police reviewed State College Borough street camera footage that they say shows McKenna throwing two punches at the victim, causing him to stumble backward. Additional video reportedly captured McKenna leaving Doggie’s Pub shortly before the incident and walking eastbound on East Beaver Avenue before turning south on South Garner Street. In the footage, McKenna was observed wearing a white backwards hat, a puffer jacket, jeans, and white sneakers. Officers also photographed blood at the scene.

The victim underwent surgery on February 2 to repair the jaw fractures and his jaw will be wired shut for approximately two weeks unless further medical intervention is required.

So, If someone on an internet website says F off to a head coach, does the head coach or a family member have the ok to punch that person and does the coach get a pass?

If his mom was in actual physical danger then yes by all means beat the crap out of the guy. If the guy talked shit about his mom then yeah sorry you gotta brush that off.
