All things Players Coming and Going.

he's also from Michigan and maybe thought i really like the coach and team and will have the net for 2 years. i get you're bitter right now, but this is hardcore reaching for really no reason.
I just don't see a reason to be any more excited than Souliere, which wasn't exciting and proved to be accurate. Souliere at least had tons of NCAA experience and a couple big games in the NCAA on the positive side.

i don't disagree that it's not like signing Augustine instead of Di Pasquo, but I also don't view this immediately as we're out purely on the basis of goaltending or we couldn't win with him.

last year was undrafted Matt Davis (who is 6'1" and played no postseason games before last year). Year before undrafted Yaniv Perets (who is 6'1"). Some guys play better when the lights are on. Di Pasquo was awesome in the GLI this year and the only loss he's ever taken was a game he came on relief during which Augustine game up 3 goals in the first period and he took the loss because MSU scored 4 goals in the game (they lost 6-5 with AF getting and ENG). He's played well at every level he's been at so hopefully this continues.

this team isn't winning or losing based on the goalie next year imo (there are numerous other holes as they stand right now that are more glaring post adding Di Pasquo, and even prior)

If they make some massive pickups, the limiting factor will once again be back to goaltending.

As of right now the D unit is a massive issue and this team is going to look like some of the late Lucia teams when the offense could never get started from the D. The two big D men coming in remind me of Collins/Glover coming in for Lucia near the end. Just didn't develop into what they were expected to at time of commitment.

agree to disagree on the goalie situation. nowhere near the issue you're making it out to be

the D core worries me, agree entirely and that is where I think the bigger issue is currently if we're going to try play the same open style. if we decide to go tighter checking and a 200ft game, their size will be nice to have but it's going to take being on the right side of a lot of 3-2 games throughout the year just to dance.

Tate Pritchard. A solid point producer, another winger... Can put up decent points in his career but need bigger guns than that to compete next year and still need 1C and 2C for big time college hockey.
