All things Players Coming and Going.

Half the AIC team entered the portal. This 6'6" drafted goalie will look to join his 4th team in 4 years. He's played on at least 8 different teams in 7 years. Ridiculous.
Gotta wonder when these kids eventually join the workforce if they will be able to go more than 6 months without changing jobs.

I think AIC is dropping out of D1 next year. At least I think that's still the plan. So the exodus wouldn't surprise me I guess.

Think we all can think of a colleague or two over the years who always bounced around thinking it was the situation or The colleagues in reality it was them or they just weren’t a fit for the field

There could be legitimate superstars entering the portal from the land of no trees. Not that we'll get any of them... But hopefully they land somewhere we don't see them either.

Unless it’s Boisvert you are really stretching the definition of superstar with anyone on that roster.

That said Perron is unfortunately headed to Ann Arbor.

I know someone who helped bankrupt company after company and fell upward to higher and higher positions with his slick revisionism and storytelling techniques. He has no business skill other than his journalistic chops. Not only is this possible, but there is also a large body of evidence that it is the norm.

Livanavage or however you spell it is NHL bound along with Boisvert

Yeah then I’m not sure what “legitimate superstars” are hitting the portal. By your definition of that term we must have about 9 superstars on our roster.

He's better than all D but Rinzel

Seems like Boisvert is staying and Livanavage is going pro rather than transfering (and he was going to stay NCHC anyways). Perron probably to UM.

Bob Chokezko knows he's dead in the water now. He'll be a lame duck coach and out next spring if he doesn't step down now and do what's best for the program to let the rebuild start.

Kevin Reidler is the obvious goalie pickup cuz he's got three years left and motzko doesn't know how to recruit goalies on his own

DJT...🤫

Broten Sabo will end up at a good school. With Chesley sure to leave the Gophers need an offensive d man since Gruba disappointed, but I'm not sure he's good enough to be it. Might be acceptable though.

Current Gopher Portal top 5
1. Reidler
2/3. Eisele
2/3. Ludtke
4. Sabo
5. Hoskin

The caps have him under contract until august of next year. I won’t be surprised at all if they want him to come back and run the pp/be our offensive guy. They can easily have him come back and bring him in tail end of the year as the way to guarantee he signs. After Kurth signed, definitely higher chance he goes but it’s not a sure thing.

Even if he does stay, Gophers lack a true PP QB at the back. He ain't it. So even if he stays, try to find one.

And HERE is your #1 prospect in the entire portal so far. All teams will be in on him.

would assume he goes to PSU?

But yes the Gophers should absolutely throw the kitchen sink at recruiting him.

Perron to the portal but think he's going to Michigan.
given he's do not contract, yeah i'd imagine so. Michigan seems to be one of the most active programs in throwing NIL deals at guys while they're still at other schools.

I don't understand the mixed opinion out there about whether Canadians can get NIL or not

has to do with their Visa status. They can sign NIL deals with Canadian entities for sure and I don't know how enforceable bullshit social media posts would be if that's what you claim the NIL is for.

There was Canadian bball player who signed a NIL deal with Adidas Canada, so i'd assume there are many work arounds for this

Owen McLaughlin in. Another do not contact. Maybe another NCHC team?
