Of course, it opens up two scholarships.
The staff there is famous for getting a lot out of spring recruits, too. The new scholarships should really help.

Could be a rough year for Tubby next season.
Ouch. Now losing 4 of top 5 scorers from a 14-18 team.
Good news is, with a 10 team conference and TCU in there, at least he can count on 9th place ... which is probably better than he would've been finishing in the 14 team B1G anytime soon.

Probably best to worry about things closer to home. Our returning players, plus the 65th class in the nation won't move us too far up the food chain. Losing our 4 best players prior to 2015/16 will be very difficult to replace. I'm not at all sure who is in the more difficult spot here.
“@EvanDaniels: Virginia Tech has given TJ Lang a release from his Letter of Intent, per a source. 2014 recruit.”
He should talk to his AD about that. These transfers are alarming. Might as well make players have 1-2 year commitments and then have free agency per se. I was watching Bo Ryan's press conference last night on the B1G network and he commented on the Graduate transfer rule. He is against it. Mocking how players pick the school first, then find the academic track they want, and they are good to go. "When is the NCAA going to share the % of these kids that actually have a masters degree?"

If we're going to cherry pick transfers, Carlino would be a good guy to get.
Sophomore point guard Tyler Lewis is transferring from NC State for his final two seasons of eligibility. Averaged about 4.5 ppg and 4.0 apg this season.
-started both NCAA Tournament games and averaged 7.5 ppg and 7.0 apg in those two games.
IMO, this would be better worth looking into than Kevin Ware. A 3rd guard in our rotation who would see heavy minutes.
