I know as of a few years ago a play-in team had won the next game in every tournament since the expansion except one. Another year, another time it happens.

This team made it into the tournament because Merrimack wasn't yet eligible. lol. Virginia fans everywhere are invested. Purdue fans are shitting themselves at the prospect of joining this exclusive club.
