Finally watched the short series on Netflix called Hitler and Nazis: Evil on Trial. Was well done. It still blows my mind how all those people just went along with what he was doing.
Has anyone seen Unknown Number, the documentary on Netflix? I won't spoil it, but if you haven't watched it, I recommend not googling it and not finding out the story before watching. It's f'd up, but worth the watch.
Go Gophers!!
Michel Keaton directed and starred in Knox Goes Away
From IMDB
When a contract killer is diagnosed with a fast-moving form of dementia, he is presented with the opportunity to redeem himself by saving the life of his estranged adult son. To do this, he must race against the police closing in on him, as well as the ticking clock of his own rapidly-deteriorating mind.
It was really good. Al Pacino has a role in it also.
Seen it bouncing around the streaming services here, I will make sure to watch when it’s available again. As you said, I can’t ever recall going wrong with a Michael Keaton movie.I just watched Knox Goes Away, I liked it. It kept me engaged throughout, trying figure out the ploy. Keaton solid as always
I'm interested to see if he takes on any additional Directing projects.
I watched on HBO-MAX if you have that.Seen it bouncing around the streaming services here, I will make sure to watch when it’s available again. As you said, I can’t ever recall going wrong with a Michael Keaton movie.
You convinced me-headed to see it tomorrow night. One Battle After Another gets my highest recommendation. I strongly encourage anyone to go see it on as big of a screen as possible.
Leonardo. Sean. Benicio. All 3 give as good of performances as I have ever seen them in. No hyperbole. That great.
Amazing soundtrack and score.
Thanks for confirming what I was hoping to be true. It was hard to imagine it being anything but stellar considering all those involved with the film. One Battle After Another gets my highest recommendation. I strongly encourage anyone to go see it on as big of a screen as possible.

Just got home from the movie, and what a corker of a movie-I had little background on the movie going in, but did those almost three hours fly by-DiCaprio was masterfully comedic and tender, Penn should clear some shelf space for best supporting actor and Del Toro was brilliant as always. The last two movies I’ve watched were this and Sinners-a great one-two punch reminder of how magical and fun the movies can be.One Battle After Another gets my highest recommendation. Cocaine Quarterback on Prime is interesting. True story of a former USC football and volleyball player who gets into drug smuggling and money laundering for the Sineola Cartel. 3 episodes
No. Not actually a QB. A guy by the name of Owen Hanson, I believe. Won't ruin it for you but was Volleyball scholarship guy who Pete Carroll brought onto the football team. Title comes from how he was described as "the qb for the cartel".Todd Marinovich?
This looks amazing
Watched a Mark Wahlberg movie called Play Dirty. He’s a thief named Parker and he’s up against The Outfit which reminded me of the Mel Gibson movie called Payback. Maybe connected, guess I don’t care to research it. Liked Payback, thought this one with Wahlberg sucked. Could have sworn I was going to mention another, but it must have been so bad I forgot what it was.
Took in Caught Stealing starring Austin Butler, Regina King, Zoe Kravitz. Bad Bunny, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D'Onofrio and even a quick glimpse of Laura Dern. Set in 1990's New York. Didn't think it was very good. Actually didn't think it was good. Best roles might have been Scheiber and D'Onfrio as a couple Hasidic Jews who are also mobsters.
Thanks for the warning, I was tempted to take a flier.Watched the new Naked Gun last night, oof, rough watch. I loved the original, Naked Gun 2 1/2 was solid as well, thought the cast and time away from the original Trilogy would do it justice, but it didn't go nearly far enough for the over the top sarcastic/dry humor of the original, so it was stuck between that and just a bad script. A shame.
Go Original Naked Gun Movie!!

Don’t think this is giving away anything important about the movie, but theres a scene where Butler is taking swings in a batting cage from balls pitched from a machine. Austin has a really bad swing. In case you needed a reminder, here's how the tiebreaker Game 163 for the 1998 NL Wild Card berth played out:
