He'll play DE, maybe even some inside. Depends on how big he gets. His dad was a high end DE/DT at 6'3" nearly 300 lbs when the Vikings drafted him in the 2nd round. I wouldn't be surprised if Jaxon approaches that size considering how large he already is as a JR in high school.

Yeah, his height/weight listed on 247 (6-4, 245 lbs) reminds me of Ra'Shede Hageman in high school, so you have to assume he'll grow out of a TE.

We've seen this horror movie before. How many top in-state prospects have cajoled us into believing they have lots of love before until they stab us in the heart? That's a Pavlovian reflex from years of broken hearts. I hope that it ends well this time around instead. We are due for some delightful news.

It helps when homegrown guys like Blake Cashman, Carter Coughlin, Tyler Johnson, Boye Mafe, and possibly Blaise Andries get to play in front of friends and family and then get drafted into the NFL. They get to play for a program that takes care of them.

PJ Fleck's kids' camps and reaching out to MN in-state H.S. coaches are paying dividends. Cody Lindenberg is an example of a Gopher Dreamer growing up.

It is like growing fruits. You have to cultivate and pay attention to them.
