I have no idea who pulled the strings with the mods, but it was clear that it was because a paying client got bent because I was mocking his negativity.I think you have a case of mistaken identity. The person you're accusing of getting you banned because you were too positive about Ben Johnson and the Gophers has been one of the most consistently positive on this site.
Groves will lose that "baby fat" and become a solid force in the paint. Like any big, you have to give him a couple years to grow and adjust. Not every big comes in as a rock like Pharyll Paine did. He had a man body in a young mind. With Pharyll, his mind is catching up to his body and he's becoming a beast of a ball player.Grove looks to have put on about 30lbs since last season. It’s hard to put 30lbs of muscle on in one year. Let’s say it’s 15 of each, and part of the reason is the injury.
He seems like a quality kid with some athleticism and skill.
Players not in the top 100 don’t come in and play major minutes on an ncaa tourney type team. Let’s hope I’m right wink wink.
I know everybody hates on the redshirt these days because of the transfer portal. But I wonder if Groves would decide to redshirt to focus on remaking his body. Not sure Ben has the luxury of doing that unfortunately. I just read an article about Will Tschetter redshirting at Michigan and his mindset.Groves will lose that "baby fat" and become a solid force in the paint. If our team all comes back, Groves will be in a perfect scenario where he doesn't have to be depended on, but can spell someone for a couple minutes here and there. He can learn the game and the grind of the B1G.

But I turned off the monitor during the RockRaven days.
Statute of Limitations?
RJ reports on 247 that Grove's minutes are being rationed. He plays in 4 minute segments. I think he was playing every other game at one time. RJ speaks very well of Grove as he is fundamentally solid and fits well into the team scheme. Hope they get to State so we can see him perform.
That is a great write up about Will Tschetter. It almost makes one root for him.I know everybody hates on the redshirt these days because of the transfer portal. Perhaps the most underrated post here (haha pun intended)I believe Grove is the goalie for the Alex soccer team and that he is pretty good at it!
So I imagine he is just fine moving laterally! Or he would suck as a goalie even at his height.
So should we now refer to you as "formerlybi"?Side topic - there seems to be some confusion about the singularity of MN HS basketball players' names - it's Grove not Groves, it's McAndrew, not McAndrews, and it was Winter not Winters.
Carry on.
You sir, can take the rest of the day off for that gemSo should we now refer to you as "formerlybi"?
They are both super impressive, but McAndrew at 6'9"- 6'10" can really shoot it. Johnson looks like he has a nice stroke, but doesn't shoot it at the same rate. I wish the Gophers were getting both of them. They could've been Minnesota's own Fab Four....Anybody else watch 6-7 Johnson of Totino and feel he’s a better prospect than McAndrew?
I also saw him carry Totino past Park Center.
Seeing Groves playing multiple times, he is not slow afoot. Don’t know how he will develop, but he is athletic for his size and sees the floor well.Insulting? That's your interpretation.
I made an observation that Groves is slow of foot and needs to turn that weight into muscle weight. That's not me insulting Grove, that's me saying I watched yesterday's game and saw that he needs to get in better shape and get stronger if he is going to help the Gophers next season.
I had no idea you are from Alexandria. I was posting about what I observed. You need to lighten up on this. I am done returning your comments on this issue. It's not nearly that big of a deal.
I think you meant "Carry ons."Side topic - there seems to be some confusion about the singularity of MN HS basketball players' names - it's Grove not Groves, it's McAndrew, not McAndrews, and it was Winter not Winters.

Next you're going to tell us it's Aldi not Aldi's.Side topic - there seems to be some confusion about the singularity of MN HS basketball players' names - it's Grove not Groves, it's McAndrew, not McAndrews, and it was Winter not Winters.

It's free throw made not free throws. Sometimes not even singular, but definitely not plural.Next you're going to tell us it's Aldi not Aldi's.
Or the first "d" in Wednesday.and it is Daylight Saving Time - not "savings."
now let's talk about why no one pronounces the first "r" in February.
In the immortal words of a very good friend: “Don’t correct me if you know what I mean.”Or the first "d" in Wednesday.
Cub? Or Cubs? Or Cub’s?Next you're going to tell us it's Aldi not Aldi's.

I’m going to the libary to look that upWait, What!?
No one pronounces the first "r" in February? Well, that explains the looks I get when I say "Fe-brew-airy." I've been pronouncing it all wrong.
From now on I'll just say "helmikuu."
