How many total scholarships do we have for the 2022 class? With all the transfers in and out I have completely lost track.
I think this is what we have if no one leaves (not sure if Ramberg is walk-on but think so), which means we have 2 commits and 6 returners, 5 more to go:
Positions 2022-23

PG

CG Sean Sutherlin, Abdoulaye Thiam

SG Braeden Carrington, Jackson Purcell (Walk-On), Will Ramberg (Walk-On)

SF Parker Fox, Jamison Battle

PF Isaiah Ihnen, Pharrel Payne

C: Treyton Thompson

Ben more likely to not play with a traditional 4 offensively with four guys who can play on perimeter. Fox is not a 3 at all offensively. He is less of a perimeter player than Ihnen - not much of a shooter. He can guard inside/out though.

Sutherlin doesn't have any additional eligibility, last year would have been his Senior year but because Covid he got the additional year this year. Sutherlin, Willis, Lowe, Stephens, Curry, Daniels, Mercyhurst kid are all done after this year

Assuming JOJ commits tonite…who is next? Does he have his Gopherhole chain yet ?
Pierre and Dunn are both visiting on Thursday - anyone who is more in the know than me feel like there’s a chance of getting a commitment from either of them by the end of the week? Both seem like they’d be great gets, and if they’re taking an official, must be at least some level of interest in us.

I think Pierre would be more likely than Dunn to commit. Read somewhere that Dunn might be waiting til winter to decide on a school, but hopefully he just loves his visit so much that he commits!

Let's get Pierre committed this week and then tell Dunn, Byrd, Essegian we have one scholarship for whoever commits first.

Is the assumption that three scholarships will be reserved for transfers that will be signed in the spring.

Per the 247 article, Williams Arena was an asset in his recruitment. I like this kid!

"I really like Williams Arena, I really like it," Ola-Joseph explained. "That was one of the biggest things that stood out to me during the visit. Also, I like how much money they are investing into the program. That's definitely stood out to me."
