All Things Class of 2026 Gophers Football Recruiting Thread (Offers, Videos, Tweets, Rankings and More)

What was Tucker Kraft and Dallas Goederts ranking? Or Cody Mauch, G. Zabel, T. Lance, Wentz, Radunz?

In short, NFL quality players can be overlooked and developed regularly from the three and two star crowd. We need to get more Koi Perichs to be top half of the conference consistently, but our recipe for now is great development and portal evaluations to fill holes.
I actually think Geers will have a solid NFL career.

It is currently 69 degrees here in South Carolina with the only thing falling to the ground are the leaves 😁😁😁😁
62 in NYC today for the high and tie going to be teens next week on the Range where my mom lives, do I will call and laugh

The idea was that they didn't want some schools having dozens of "walk ons" who are really just scholarshipped athletes but would be using NIL instead of the scholly to pay for tuition.
But instead, they may have made it easier for the rich schools to stash players.

Does anyone know if every P4 school is filling their rosters with 105 scholarship players? I would guess many are not.

It’s up to each school. There is a hard roster limit of 105. A school can choose to fund up to 105 full scholarships. A school can also choose to fund something less than 105 full scholarships. A school can also now offer partial scholarships (ala DII). But in no event can the roster exceed 105 players (although I believe that there is some kind of grandfathering going on with this). Wisconsin, for instance, has made several PWO offers this cycle which tells me that Wisconsin is not funding a full 105 scholarships and at least as it relates to the PWO offers, is not offering them a partial scholly.
Thank you for the info. I didn’t know a school could still have non-scholarship or preferred walk on players.

December 3 NSD can't come quick enough with the alarming number of decomitts lately.
Not sure the number of decommits qualifies as alarming. We still have 28 guys committed even with the recent departures.

And have said in other threads....I would rather see a player decommit before signing day as opposed to transfer out after.

Its alarming because they are higher ranked platers. How many 85-86 rated recruits flip?

I'm not certain how many high ranked players transfer after signing day compared to going elsewhere prior to signing day. My guess is its very low but you seem to think the number is substantial. Help me out here.

Honestly, if you look at most recruiting classes across the country, the level of attrition is crazy in terms of the number of players that never actually play for the team they sign with. And that has only increased in the transfer portal era.

For my part, I don't really get invested in recruits because you just never really know who is going to pan out

Not really outside of the two OTs. Three are rated as 86 and two were 88. Also the four most recent ones weren’t committed here very long at all, and two of them we had flipped in the first place.
