Hard to believe this team was one win away from the playoffs

I think the Vikings were 1 fewer tie by Green Bay (vs Dallas) from making the Playoffs.

It would have made them Both 9-8.

> Head to Head, split.
> Division Record, both 4-2
> Common Games, Vikes 8-4 and Packers 7-5

I welcome anyone to quality check my findings.

Yes both are true. If Vikings win one more, they are in. But also if the Packers had lost instead of tied against Dallas, the Vikings are also in.

Of course in this alternate reality, the Vikings would have had to beat a much different line-up/game plan than the Packers put forth this past Sunday.

Captain Obvious on that front.

They had just gotten pasted by the same Packers just 6 weeks earlier, but still a "punchers chance" for the Wild Card.

Crazy good article on Dallas Turner’s emergence this season by Jon Krawczynski in the Athletic, worth a read.

In addition to leading the Vikes in sacks with 8, Jon reported that he also tied for the league lead in strip sacks -

Not only has Turner sacked the quarterback at an elite level, but also he is much more active in the run game. He finished with 66 tackles on the season, 15 quarterback hits and four strip-sacks, which is tied with Arizona’s Josh Sweat for the league lead. It is the most by a Viking since Jared Allen had four in 2011.

A tie it is then

Interesting premise on the NFL and international expansion involving supersonic travel to the EU. I actually got to see one of the decommissioned Concorde’s on the deck of the Intrepid, WWII aircraft carrier in NYC; very cool exhibit and experience if you ever make it here and are into that kind of thing. The aircraft carrier is so huge, you have to see it to believe it, they also have a sub which is tiny and the Concorde is much small than any long haul plane; basically it’s the size of a regional jet.

I could absolutely support this, I'm a Gannon fan. I think he's a very good coach, in a crappy situation in Arizona the last several years.
