Twins will have some interesting decisions to make in the next week to 10 days. Jeffers is playing in St. Paul now. Assuming no setbacks, he'll be back at or b4 all-star break. I assume Jackson goes back down. Then you've got Jeffers, Caratini, Bell, Lewis (and I guess, Clemens) for DH, C, and 1B.
Think Culpepper (SS) is battling the injury bug, so non-factor at this point.
Wallner is still raking. If he keeps it up, you need to bring him up in place of Fedko, who looks over-matched at this point. Or, move him for relief pitching, though I'd hate to see him become a regular 30 HR guy after we traded him.
I'm not convinced Lewis isn't odd man out.
Jenkins also hitting well, but think you give him a full year's at bats in AAA.
Ober and Rojas should be back next week too.
 




Pretty wild, but we have completely different starting infield than we did to start the season.

FWIW - from my perspective, Clemens has become the regular 2nd baseman at this point, as IIRC, he’s at least started the last 10 at 2nd, when he and Luke flip flopped. We’re much better defensively with him there and Keaschall in RF.

Bell is the primary DH and Caratini is a good backup for Jeffers, occasional DH/1B.

I’d trade him; he did this previously as well and reverted to the mean when he was called up. He’s also a defensive liability, even with his cannon.

Clemens is going to hit 30 and Bell with surpass 20 easily. Wally strikes out too much for my taste.

I am😃, especially as he was the first overall pick, he’s going to get more grace than others. He’s also shown that he can carry a team.

Royce has played very well at first and he has improved his hitting as he’s not chasing the low and outside pitches, like he did before getting sent diwn.

I think Larnach will be traded, as he has value with his improved plate discipline resulting in higher BA and improved defense.

I wouldn’t feel that way if Luke in right field wasn’t producing.

With Provus at the mic, my bitching about Peacock is somewhat tempered.

I did watch for at least 3 innings before I realized there are 2 analysts with Cory today. Adam Ottavino and Anthony Recker sound exactly alike.

Ottavino I had never heard of before today, or just completely deleted from my memory. Recker I had never heard of before they gave him some reps on TwinsTV earlier this season.

Both should payoff eventually on my Grid efforts as both New Players and Rarity.

Just heard on radio that the Twins catcher production thus far ranks in the top 10 in: BA, OBP, Slug & OPS.

That was always my issue with Wallner - way too many unproductive at bats.

Tricky with Jeffers. They should trade him. Alex Jackson won't clear waivers if they try to send him down, so they might have to carry 3 catchers until the trade deadline.
 

They should put Buxton on the IL until after the All Star game, but they won't.
 


Nice to take advantage of Judge’s absence. Without him, NYY is an ordinary team.

I think Caranti has shown enough that I would agree with, as they can get bonafide relieve help. Caranti had one of the best OPS in the league for June; his OPS is .988 in his last 15 games🤯

Twins led for 18 consecutive innings. Not nearly the same as North Stars never winning a game at Boston Garden for their first 14 years then winning on consecutive nights in the ‘81 playoffs—but is has that flavor.

Jeffers is a Boras client. He won't sign an extension now, even if the Twins offered top end $$. They can't let him walk for just a possible draft pick.

My bad I forgot about both.

Ouzo, very underrated for shots, so he stays, but Patch was a crappy movie and at this point, an even worse arm.
