All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

A long ways to go to the deadline but right now there are only 6 teams that aren’t within 5 games of a playoff spot. This time last year there were 10 more than 5 games out.

Might not be a lot of teams selling unless things change.

Relief pitching will be coveted by many.

It was nice to give Kyler Fedko a look. But continuing to run him out there while Rosen and Jenkins rake in AAA is a joke.

Yea, unfortunately, he's overmatched. Wish he could have gotten a hit though, to tell his grandkids.

He’s only really played because of Buxton being out. If Buxton goes on the IL, I could see them switching him out for Roden.

I get not calling up Jenkins to be a bench player but Roden is probably a 4th OF long term anyway.
FWIW - everything zI’ve seen has Roden as a corner OFer.

Dazzle’s take was Kreidler back to center an Gray at SS - if Buck is out.

As Atterbuty said today, “Fedko is giving off serious Carson McKusker vibes.” He’s playing in Japan now

I might move Martin to CF. I hate taking Kriedler away from SS. I think Martin is a better CF than Gray is a SS.

Roden is more a corner outfielder long term but can play some CF. I'd prefer he get to play everyday against righties if Buck is out. Martin is just not good against right handed pitchers. Keep Gray largely on the bench IMO.

WAR! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing...

Which is what Brooks Lee is currently sitting at for his Career: 0.0.

Nothing. Say it again.

If Edwin Star is not your bag, it's also the equivalent of Bluto Blutarsky's GPA.

Today we celebrate.

That would work too. Just don't want Gray playing SS more than once a week.

Didn’t want him 😡

American League team in the form of North St. Paul and Concordia alum Louie Varland, who was named to his first All-Star team. Varland, traded by the Twins in a shocking deal in the minutes before last July’s trade deadline, had emerged as a reliable reliever last season.

This year, he’s taken it to another level.

Entering Saturday’s play, the local standout had a 0.96 ERA across 47 innings pitched. He had struck out 65 batters to 13 walks, allowed just five earned runs all year and his 18 saves had him tied for seventh in the majors

He gets the call to replace Buck on the roster, looking forward to seeing what he does with his opportunity.

Fedko’s quest for a hit continues😃

I absolutely loved the broadcast booth tonight.
I thought 4 was at least 1 too many. Seemed like a competition for each to get as many words in as possible.

I don't mind a few seconds of silence here and there.

Some observations, tonight it was the opposition who failed with fielding miscues which led to all 3 Twins runs.

Twins also flipped the table on the Guards by winning a tight low run game.

The Off Day set up the Twins Bullpen as much as it could be in its current state for success tonight.
