All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Twins lose to Arizona 9-5. that 5th inning was what cause them.
Keeping Gray over Arcia was a mistake. He's TERRIBLE at SS an we keep running him out there. He cost them 3 runs in the 5th all by himself. At least play Kriedler and keep him on the bench.

Yes, don't understand why Shelton keeps trotting him out there. Probably my only big complaint on him this year.

Hoping the Twins don't go to there bullpen or have there bullpen blow this one. 7-0 in the 5th.

Correction 12-0 Twins lead. Buxton with a grand slam.

Now 16-0 Twins. what is going on in Arizona tonight.

Buxton with a grand salami

Yilber Diaz comes in for relief and leaves after 2/3 of an inning and a 94.5 ERA

WAR machine, Brooks Lee 4-4

Ugh 4-5
I don't know how much RBI factor into it, but Lee got hosed on his ground rule double because the ball got wedged in at the bottom of the OF fence.

Runner would have easily scored, which he did eventually anyway. Lee likely would have had a triple.

Can we release this clown yet? What on earth are they waiting for?
He would have been cut if Abel was able 🤣 to start today - that was plan and why Abel was traveling with the team.

We’re second in the AL in runs scored (we were prio to the start of the D-Back series) and have three players (Bell, Buck & Lee) in the Top 20 for ribeyes. The offense is much better than anyone could have hoped for or imagined😃. That’s a lot to celebrate🥳.

The corresponding move is great. (maybe some piggyback action today) -

Rojas comes off IL, rejoins Twins; Lawrence DFA'd

The Minnesota Twins announced Sunday that they have returned left-handed pitcher Kendry Rojas from his rehab assignment and have reinstated him from the 15-day Injured List.

Rojas, who was placed on the 15-day IL on May 29 with left elbow inflammation and has missed the Twins’ last 24 games, made one appearance on rehab assignment for Triple-A St. Paul on June 18 vs. Omaha. He allowed five runs on five hits in 1.1 innings pitched, with one walk and one strikeout. Prior to being placed on the IL, the 23-year-old went 1-0 with a 1.26 ERA (14 1/3 IP, 2 ER), 10 walks, 14 strikeouts and a .224 opponent batting average in five games (1 start) across two stints with the Twins this season.

To make room for Rojas on the 26-man roster, the Twins have designated right-handed pitcher Justin Lawrence for release or assignment. Lawrence made seven relief appearances for Minnesota, allowing 12 runs on 10 hits in six innings pitched, with nine walks and 12 strikeouts.

Who knows if it will matter, but the Twins just got better today.

Provis just said Twins are batting .280 with RISP

That’s amazing.
