All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

Do go on.

You're hilarious
My point doesn’t need further explanation. Can you please go on with your brilliant “it all starts with him getting the players to believe” take? Maybe spend less time mocking everyone else’s takes and come up with some better ones yourself.

It all starts with him getting everyone to believe. Even himself.

Among Cignetti's many great coaching qualities, it's the first and foremost.

i think first and foremost is his overwhelming desire to put his boot on the other team’s throat and choke the life out of them. He plays not just to win but to win big. Refreshing compared to the two decades out of date Tressel ball we play.

I like that quality as well.

He's also seems to have a tremendous eye for potential, and between he and his staff an undeniably proven capability to develop that potential. He's not doing this with NIL or high level recruits.

But I like his "we're as good as you despite your name" belief most.

Doubt I’ll watch the championship game

I dint want to see either of these teams celebrate
Seems like one of the least offensive championship matchups in recent memory to me. Indiana is a great story and seems to play hard and the right way. Miami hasn’t won jack in decades, is coached by a prodigal son, and doesn’t carry themselves like the cocky Miami teams of the past.

The Ducks did outgain the Hoosiers 378-363 in Total Yards Offense, so yeah it was pretty equal.
To my eye about 150 of those yards came after the officials legalized Oregon offensive holding in the 4th quarter

At that point it was a laugher so 🤷‍♂️.

Danny B gets wins for his Hoosiers and his bears. Now there is a guy whose life couldn’t get any better. Champagne Danny!

Indiana -7.5
The teams that managed to play Indiana close played in games where Indiana had low yards per carry,
The low yards per carry also limited the effectiveness of RPO

Iowa -2.7
Oregon the first time - 3
Penn state - 3.5
Ohio State - 3.5

Miami has a great DL and good rush defense
Miami is the type of team that could slow down Indiana and make it interesting

Indiana by 10000

I would bet on Indiana if I bet. But in an Ohio state Indiana rematch I would’ve picked Ohio state (and that is what I thought would happen going into the playoff).
Miami beat Ohio State. So I guess logically Miami should be the team that could beat Indiana based on my prior assumptions. But I just don’t see it.
