All Things 2025 Playoffs and Bowl Thread

i mean some credit to the TCU RB. Made a hell of a play and didn't take the easy way out/go out of bounds after he made the first 2 guys miss. USC needs to wrap up (joy of that so many guys have gotten terrible at doing this) and seemed like some guys thought he would go out of bounds, but massive kudos to the RB who made it all happen. He was their MVP despite ESPN trying to run the narrative like it was Seals.

Once again, USC lacks the dog, size, skill, etc in the trenches. Lincoln seems like he only cares about running 7-on-7 drills and built his roster as such. Unless they really figure out their strategy internally I don't see how they compete with the top of the B1G
They seem undersized

Two brutal drops for Iowa on consecutive plays. Missed TD and missed INT.

Iowa having their way with Vanderbilt so far. If not for the interception in the end zone, this game would be 14-nil

Yuck. I can't stand Pavia, but I can't stand Iowa even more.
add that plus that the media has made Vandy into this darling underdog like they don't have a massive wealthy donor base is beyond annoying. They've also gotten to enjoy an inflated ranking for beating 11 SC who finished 4-8, 10 LSU who finished 7-6, 15 Mizzou who finished 8-5, and 19 Tennessee who finished 8-5 added to that they beat 9-4 Bama last year

I will never cheer for iowa unless it somehow benefits the Gophers.

Let’s go Vandy!

All that is true and yet Iowa is still 1000x more unbearable.

First time in my life I'm rooting for Iowa football.....love to see them shut Pavia up!!!
Not sure I would go so far as to say I am rooting for Iowa but this is one of the very very very very very rare situations where I would not be totally bummed to see them win.

An 8-4 Big Ten team taking down a 10-2 SEC team is good optics for the conference plus I am not a fan of Pavia and all his BS at all.

Same here.

Iowa deciding to throw inside the five yard line on first down was a head scratcher. If they don't get cute and just pound the ball in....they have a 14-0 lead early in the game. It'll be deserved if they lose a close one.

Wow....Vandy punter punted the ball after crossing the line of scrimmage.....don't think i have ever seen that happen. So Iowa gets it at the 10 with 45 seconds left in the half and Iowa immediately converts it to a TD.....

Yep, just as I suspected. The Vanderbilt Punter is from Australia. I doubt he even knew what he was doing was not allowed.

Wow! What a huge blunder by the Vandy punter.
Yeah....have seen punters do that roll out and clearly they had the option there for the punter to keep on running and go for the first down.....but holy crap you have to know where the line of scrimmage is and understand when you are committed to running vs. being able to kick still.

Most likely the difference between going into the half down 4 vs. 11 or maybe 8 if they can get into field goal range.

Vandy was about to get out of the half at 7 to 3 until their punter ran too far ....14 - 3

Both teams had some penalties to kill or allow the other to extend drives and backbreaking self-inflicted mistakes.

Wild. I wasn’t even sure what the rule/penalty was with this.

And it was like 4th and 20....SMH
