Michigan should have been up 10 at half. They missed that opportunity. Auburn rolled.28-9 runs are tough to overcome.
Sucks when they miss out of bounds calls between 2 and 3 minutes and can’t fix. Need some type of challenge system. That's too bad. Many gifts down the stretch for Houston.
Following the Mich loss to the U I predicted they would go deep in the tourney. Fell short against Auburn but MI does play sound ball.Michigan was awful last season. Quite a turnaround
Seeds remaining: 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2. Boring indeed. Maybe CBS and the NCAA are liking this, but I'm not. Some good games last 2 days but very boring tournament to my mind. Way too chalky. Maybe that's the future with NIL as fewer great players at smaller schools. If so, March Madness loosing some of its charm. My pool sheets in the future will be all higher chalk.
There should have been at least one 5 and one 6!Seeds remaining: 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2. Boring indeed. Maybe CBS and the NCAA are liking this, but I'm not.
I can think of one 4-seed who was just jobbed out of being in that final 8 by a SERIES of bad calls down the stretch. Our situation feels systemic. There should have been at least one 5 and one 6!![]()
I'm in a 50+ bracket entry pool - with some very experienced NCAA BB watchers and some who maybe have heard of Duke and that is it. I happen to know the person in first place, the lowest basketball IQ of anyone in pool. All she did was go chalk on every pick. Some good games last 2 days but very boring tournament to my mind. If Houston wasn’t the beneficiary, I would run with the conspiracy. But there is no way the establishment is on the Sampson train. Chalk it up to incompetence.I can think of one 4-seed who was just jobbed out of being in that final 8 by a SERIES of bad calls down the stretch. Our situation feels systemic.
You're right, of course. It would be like the NFL helping Al Davis. If Houston wasn’t the beneficiary, I would run with the conspiracy. But there is no way the establishment is on the Sampson train. Chalk it up to incompetence.

Blown calls to be sure but just because it looked obvious from the TV angles that doesn't mean it was just as obvious from court level. Watch this lead to them expanding out of bounds reviews to the entire game which would just be terrible. Both obvious in real time
Just made a similar comment in a reply to someone else. Give the coaches a challenge they can use once a game on an out of bounds call outside of 2 minutes. But for the love of god, please don't expand the amount of time in which they can review those calls because those possession reviews are already painfully long and happen way too often as it is.Sucks when they miss out of bounds calls between 2 and 3 minutes and can’t fix. Need some type of challenge system.
Somebody (not me) should research the average margian of loss when a "Cinderella" finally bows out... I would argue that their presence more often than not decreases the quality of the games played in the last few rounds, but it's probably difficult (impossible?) to prove it disprove itYou didn't like watching several close games the last two days?
There were some good games for sure. Maybe I'm complaining too much. You didn't like watching several close games the last two days?
I know you're addressing BG, but I guess I started the sentiment here. As I noted, some good games so far this weekend but there weren't many the 1st weekend. You didn't like watching several close games the last two days?

Everyone's different, but for me, a bit of the fun and enjoyment of the tournament is watching a couple higher seeds move into the 2nd weekend or final 4. Also, more fun when doing sheets to see who correctly picks upsets (5 vs 12, etc).
To each their own, but I find all chalk less interesting. Look forward to see how the ratings are this year.
We are infringing on Women's NCAA sacred territory here.Seeds remaining: 1, 2, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2. Boring indeed. Maybe CBS and the NCAA are liking this, but I'm not.
You took the words or of my mouth. I'd been thinking of posting just that. This is one thing that's held the women's game back from greater popularity. We are infringing on Women's NCAA sacred territory here.
How did NCAA men's basketball ever become popular with UCLA and John Wooden? You took the words or of my mouth. I'd been thinking of posting just that. This is one thing that's held the women's game back from greater popularity.
