I'm wild guessing mind you, but I think the reason the Rodgers to Vikings drama played out so long, is that they were having serious discussion behind closed doors.
I believe Rodgers has come out and said that he pitched a $10M salary and being a mentor to McCarthy to the Vikings. But I think at that time he was pitching that as a way to be the starter for this year's team, and they ultimately decided to say no to that.
I'm saying, the same exact pitch, but as the (primary) backup. And again, just for 2025. Win now. He could be our Nick Foles. Meaning that, Philly does not win the Super Bowl without him, even though he was not the starter.
I don't see how a reasonable, level-headed person turns it down. The people turning that down are the hateful people ... "he'll be a cancer" and all that crap ... they have a right to that opinion, but I strongly disagree with
