All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Why did the Vikings coaches and leadership spend so much time in the off season telling everyone the QB room was great.

I'm going on record right now and saying that JJM plays some good football over the next 3 weeks, well enough to have at least some modicum of optimism going forward.

I think KOC and the crew have shown, for the most part, they know how to handle that position and they didn't stake this season on someone that simply can't play.

To me, this is 100% in KOC's hands, calling a game that puts JJM in a better position to be successful

The vikes lockerroom is tired of KOC being dishonest. Everything stems from this. Sad. Mackey will steal this.
Never had a coach not lie to me about our chances for success🤦‍♂️

Maybe they don’t do that in cross country🧐🤠

I agree. It's pretty much the only thing that can give us optimism going forward.

Develop a screen game for some easy completions, confidence building.

Some reasons for optimism.
- Darrisaw should be playing, I think today was a scheduled rest day;
- Ryan Kelly was a full practice participant;
- Ty Chandler is back this week for the first time in a while, some added depth there, and he's quicker than Jones/Mason.
- Hargrave and Allen were Full practice go
- D. Jackson and a bunch of other guys Limited, but at least a glimmer of hope

What was once fairly rosy in terms of the Vikings receiving Comp picks has now settled down to likely just the one Uber-high pick for Darnold, which is like the 97th pick, late in the 3rd (which is still a solid pick). Guys like Eric Wilson playing a lot are canceling out what they could have gotten for Daniel Jones, and a few other things.
