All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

Great win and KOC maybe is learning that JJ isn’t Sam and that he needs to adjust his play calling based on his personnel.

Belicheck’s Super Powers included adjusting his team based on his personnel; saw a UTube clip of him, saying when the traded for Moss, he taught him how to use a speed receiver who stretches the field. Not every coach figures that out

Nice win.
Went against a terrible defense today and against a terrible defense next week as well.
Opportunities for JJ to figure things out, have some success, and gain some confidence.

Cowboys defense has been playing better the last month or so, but yes, it's not a great defense.

Having the original projected starting 5 on the OL was certainly a big factor today, with that, they decided to run the ball more. Being healthy is a beautiful thing

KOC has been way too stubborn and slow to adjust this year. Hopefully he's finally changing.

34 carries; 162 yds rushing; 4.8 YPC

About all anyone needs to say. Again, makes a big difference to have the entire OL intact for only the 2nd time this year.

Just looking at some of the scores ... how many draft spots did we just lose by going from 4 wins to 5 wins?

Know for sure that Wash, Atlanta, and Cincy went ahead of us.

Saw that one highlight of Seattle beating Atlanta ... on that one TD throw the db barely even made an attempt at a tackle. Clearly not trying to win.

Also so pathetic on the Bengals game. "Joe, Joe! Minnesota just won! OK ... throw two picks!" "OK, the game is out of hand now .. now you can go ahead and pad your stats back up with a meaingless TD. Cool?"

So ... we crush Washington and the Giants, in meaningless wins that will cost us what ... 4, 5, 6, more? draft spots?

Probably lose to Cowboys in a game the fans would actually care about us winning.

Get crushed at home by Lions and Packers to finish out the year with a sour taste in our mouths while not gaining any draft spots.

That sound like the plan?

There are so many schitty teams in the NFL, someone has to win when they play.

We were picking 11th coming into the day........with the win, we are still picking 11th

Again, there are so many shitty teams in the NFL.

If we lost to Washington, we'd have equal records and they would have beat us? How would they still be in front of us?

We'd also have equal records with the Bengals and Atlanta, but I don't know how the tiebreakers work. But with our win we're for sure behind them now.

No one will convince me that we would have exactly equal draft spot with beating Washington and Giants versus not, the other three being the same as whatever they end up being.

It doesn't go by head to head.........it goes by strength of schedule

Here is the order as of right now

at the top is says mock draft. I always look at that. It means noting, but it's fun to look at. Scroll down and it does multiple rounds.

Notice 4 teams are tied at 3-10. The order is determined b strength of schedule (the SOS column)

The Vikings will probably get boned on SOS because everybody in our division has a winning record.

Broncos up 10. Clock about to expire. Commit stupid delay of game penalty. Raiders kick FG.
