by the way, I'm going with NDSU fan for you!Did Maye play last year?

Holding happens every single play. All over the field.
There is no requirement to call everything that happens exactly as it happens.
Apologies, he did play last year. They were 2-9 in the games he started. (He also started the last week but it only shows him attempting one pass, must've gotten hurt)Yes, Maye played last year and it was bad.

It is absolutely subjective and up to the head ref in that situation to decide if he caught the ball. That's not what we're talking about. Holding is much more subjective than catching a football.

I'll allow that it could go either way, but for the effort and greatness of the play, and it being called a TD, it could easily have been allowed to stand and that's what should have happened.

2-9 will never be on the table for the Vikings.
I'm glad for that. You'll have to find another franchise to root for, if that's what you want.
By the rule, holding happens every play. It's black and white, according to the rule.By the rule, he didn't catch the ball. It hit the ground. It's black and white.
Wentz will start the game at the Chargers, unless he got hurt this game.2-9 shouldn't be on the table. The Vikings have the highest paid roster in the NFL this season. They are significantly more talented than NE last year, and even this year.
JJ McCarthy is never going to learn how to play QB by sitting on the bench.
Carson Wentz is also trash and needs to never see the field again. It's why he wasn't on a preseason roster.

Those refs could have allowed the called TD to stand. They were wrong to overturn.
No point discussing further, neither of us has any chance to convince the other. I'm satisfied with my opinion on this matter and won't budge on it.

McCarthy was third QB today, Sunday.
They get on a plane for LA on Wednesday. There's no time.
An undrafted rookie, who did amazingly well for himself just to make the roster? Then start Brosmer. The Vikings aren't going anywhere with Wentz at QB this season.
I don't know if I'd go there ... but I will say that I'd be fine dumping KAM. (No idea on what his contract is, if that's even possible.)KOC playin his cards right to get another year.

They may well be going nowhere with Wentz, but they aren't going anywhere with Brosmer either.
Wentz had about 10 throws that ranged from bad to awful, in terms of accuracy and/or being a poor decision. Very frustrating.Says who? Brosmer can make simple throws to the flat and isn't stupid enough to make several of the rookie mistakes Wentz made today. Average QB play beats the Eagles today.

He also had 26 completions for 313 yards against the defending champions. Including a new center who got badly beat a few times today.
If JJ just holds onto the ball and falls to the ground, that throw is a TD. Refs stole another TD away with an absolutely absurd "holding" call on Brandel. Refs stole another TD away with a silly decision to overturn a called TD that would have stayed that way in many other games with other crews.
I disagree. The Vikings defense lost the game today, with the absurd number of long bomb throws they allowed two Eagle receivers to make all day, to go along with getting nearly zero pressure on Hurts. So what if Wentz had a bunch of yards playing from behind all day today? He lost the game for them today.
The Eagles just lost to Bo Nix, taken after JJ McCarthy last year, and Jaxon Dart a rookie QB starting his 3rd game.
Oofda...I had never thought about it that way when critiquing KAM's drafting history. That seems to be almost an impossibility for a GM of his tenure.Turner is the only guy KAM has drafted that plays on our defense.

The offense wasn't great, and the no RZ TD's was unfortunate, but we win the game if they just make plays on half those throws.
AJ Brown - 4 catches, 30.3 yard average per catch, 2 TD
WTF??
He’s got star written all over him!!! And he’s a big ass country kid, he’ll be like Big Ben and rarely get injured!!Yes, Maye played last year and it was bad.
He is now taking off this year.

I don't understand the complaints on the Hockenson non-TD. The bottom of the ball hit the ground, and he had control at first, then he lost control as he rolled over. It wasn't a catch.

This touchdown reception by T.J. Hockenson was OVERTURNED ð¬

Correct.
It was correctly called a TD on the field, and could have very easily been left alone. That would have been the call if it was the Eagles.
Rigged
It must be my 62 year old Viking eyes but I’m not seeing the “indisputable visual evidence” of a mistaken call. Nevertheless, the deserving team won the game and it’s time to move on to LA.
For once, once, this drum you pound no matter what, every time, is actually correct.
70-80% of this loss was on the defense, plain and simple.
Almost zero pressure on Hurts. Has all day the throw. And then 4-5 massive, huge throws that are inexcusible.
Defense lost the game today.
Offense was not great ... but they scored points because they consistently were able to march down the field. That's something.
