All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I get that Gophers fans love to obsessively hate on NDSU and Wentz but at the end of the day, against that Cleveland defense and behind what will be the worst Off Line the Vikings will put on the field this season, Wentz delivered a big win on the road today.

But I get it, Gophers fans will obsessively hate on NDSU until their dying breath... SMH....

I really hope your post is satire.

I think I am in the overwhelming majority of Gopher fans who think of NDSU as a non-entity.

As a Viking fan, also the overwhelming majority don't give a rip where they played in college. I saw JJM maintain the Jug for Michigan. I'm not rooting for him any less now that he's in Purple.

Wentz is the starter for Philly.

There is no discussion. We'll go from there.

It costs literally nothing to have McCarthy sit on the bench. If/when Wentz faulters, we can put McCarthy in.

This is the 2025 Vikings seasons. I don't give a crap about 26, 27, or any future season.

This can be an NFC Champion, if we get some guys back healthy.

Vikings QB Carson Wentz today:

• 25/34 Passing
• 236 Passing Yards
• 1 TD
• 102.1 Passer Rating

Not bad
Correct

He is the starter for Philly.

No one is anointing him for the rest of the season. It will be game by game.

If JJM is 100% healthy, then there is certainly discussion. He might be the better option to win now.

I trust KOC decision making, either way.

They can also go just as easily back to Wentz if JJM falters.

I think the odds of winning the NFC with either Wentz or JJM is nearly identical. Slim.

None would like a word 🤷‍♂️

For this reason, I don't know how you don't go back to JJ when he's ready. You need to have an idea what you have in him by the end of the season. Carson Wentz will not be a Viking in 2026.

Remember when he posted to complain about Brandel at center? And then today he played just fine, good snaps all game.

🤡

I'm not really interested in having discussions with folks who get pissed off over winning a game. No thanks

The "when he's ready" part is key. If JJM's able to play but less than 100% and not perfectly mobile, playing behind this O-Line might get him even more injured.

Speaking of, even though Wentz finished the game he could be less than 100%. Maybe adrenaline or something stronger got him through.

Hopefully after the Bye, both will be at or near 100% so KOC has options.

Where do you see even 1 iota of anger on my part?!? My response is completely reasonable.

I am thrilled the Vikings won the game, completely satisfied over the Wentz performance and am optimistic that the Vikings can accumulate enough wins for a Wild Card no matter who the QB is against the Eagles.

Let the good times roll!!

wasn't to you

KOC's play calling has been much better the last two weeks. If only he would have done that with JJ, maybe he wouldn't be hurt.

The Vikings aren't winning anything with Wentz at QB this season. It needs to be JJ's team moving forward.

The Vikings can't win with Wentz at QB.

I mean yeah, they've already won 2/3 of the games he's started. But they can't win with him!

🤡

I'm going with Wentz as 1-1

You could have quarterbacked the Bengal win.

Let's say McCarthy gets hurt in the Cincinnati blowout. Then McCarthy is 2-1 and Wentz is 1-1

You can play those games all day long.

Who they played matters. They should have been 3-0. Wentz did nothing to win the Cincy game, and he lost the Steelers game.

The soft part of their schedule is over.

Can we see what JJ has first before we crown him the franchise QB. We don’t know. With that said I hope he is the man but again we don’t know yet

We don't know, but we won't know until he plays more. He won't get better sitting on the bench.
