So he’s no longer on the trading blockYou knew the "incidents" wouldn't stop. Guy has million dollar talent and a ten cent head.

I've had it watching him hold the ball on every route longer than 3 yards. I really don't think Brosmer would do worse.
Howie has a hard on for Brosmer. It’s quite hilariousThere's no evidence of that.

Not really. I just think Wentz is a below replacement level back-up.Howie has a hard on for Brosmer. It’s quite hilarious
Yes. He 100% should be. In addition to his incidents, it's just not smart to pay big $$ to two WR's. See Bengals, Cincinnati. So he’s no longer on the trading block![]()
Fair, but KOC isn't immune to the coaching tendency to defer to the veteran, etc.I think I will trust KOCs decision given that he sees both QBs in practice every day, Brosmer has only taken approximately 10 snaps in regular season NFL games, Cleveland's defense is stout, it's is profession to make such an evaluation as well as his own current/future employment is greatly impacted on the outcome.
Also if he trusts a wounded Wentz more, that also says something about Brosmer right now. In the future, maybe even later in the season with more reps, could be different.
I care zero about NDSU. Wentz just isn't good anymore, even for a back-up.I get that Gophers fans love to obsessively hate on NDSU and Wentz but at the end of the day, against that Cleveland defense and behind what will be the worst Off Line the Vikings will put on the field this season, Wentz delivered a big win on the road today.
But I get it, Gophers fans will obsessively hate on NDSU until their dying breath... SMH....
He's won 2 of his last 3 starts, that's good enough in and of itself to be a backup IMO.I care zero about NDSU. Wentz just isn't good anymore, even for a back-up.
I suppose. Every QB KOC has ever had including Dobbs and Jaren Hall could have won the Bengals game though. He's won 2 of his last 3 starts, that's good enough in and of itself to be a backup IMO.
That's fair to too. However also fair is throwing in an undrafted/unproven Rookie behind a patchwork O-Line against a tough defense, just doesn't seem like a good idea. Especially for a team with Wild Card aspirations.Fair, but KOC isn't immune to the coaching tendency to defer to the veteran, etc.
Howie will never give credit where credit is due. Wentz goes 9 for 9 on the final drive against the number 1 defense and he says he’s not good enough to be a backup. Can’t make it upHe's won 2 of his last 3 starts, that's good enough in and of itself to be a backup IMO.
He had a good drive. It doesn't erase his overall play. There's a reason he was sitting available on August 24th.Howie will never give credit where credit is due. Wentz goes 9 for 9 on the final drive and he says he’s not good enough to be a backup. Can’t make it up
Well, in 2023 we did see Mullens under KOC fail to beat the Bengals in a game in which Burrows was also sidelined, so not EVERY QB under his tutelage.I suppose. Every QB KOC has ever had including Dobbs and Jaren Hall could have won the Bengals game though.
And doing so with a depleted line is as much as one could hope for in this quandary. He's won 2 of his last 3 starts, that's good enough in and of itself to be a backup IMO.
Yes, but that wasn't on Muellens. And this Bengals team is much worse.Well, in 2023 we did see Mullins under KOC fail to beat the Bengals in a game in which Burrows was also sidelined, so not EVERY QB under his tutelage.
Okay, but I obviously loved the irony; maybe pop a Xanax before the game?Yes. He 100% should be. In addition to his incidents, it's just not smart to pay big $$ to two WR's. See Bengals, Cincinnati.
I think for a backup QB there's certainly some value. If a backup QBs record is abysmal, then what's the point?b. Judging a QB by his W-L record is almost as meaningless as judging starting pitchers by that metric.
Did I call for him to be traded immediately? No. Perhaps you need the Xanax.Okay, but I obviously loved the irony; maybe pop a Xanax before the game?
Also, the Vikings did a poor job of handling the back-up QB spot this off-season. That's on Qwesi.
We'll probably never know, but it sure doesn't seem like KOC ever wanted Sam Howell. They are 2-1 so far playing with a back-up QB. That's not poor.
Also I would bet KOC had every bit as much to do with the decision making as Qwesi.
You said after the season and I’m flipping you a little grief.Did I call for him to be traded immediately? No. Perhaps you need the Xanax.
Dropping knowledge and FactsWe scored 21 points with a patchwork OL against a team that only allowed 10 to the vaunted Packers O.
There's zero chance KOC didn't have significant input. We'll probably never know, but it sure doesn't seem like KOC ever wanted Sam Howell.
