All Things 2025 Minnesota Vikings In-Season Thread

I think non-playoff teams are capped at 18? I could be wrong there.

Since you keep ducking it, I'll just assume you're avoiding having to admit being wrong before about being so nonchalant towards the Vikings slipping in the draft order.
I have no idea what you are talking about.

I don't think any of us has any idea why he hasn't interviewed. It could very well be that the terms of the ongoing litigation say that he is not to interview. Also, how do we know that he hasn't declined any number of interviews over the last several years? I would guess Flores and his camp would not think it would help his lawsuit if he were to not only have multiple interviews but to actually get an offer. I wouldn't be shocked if he's declined HC interviews the last several years.

A quick internet search indicated that he HAS definitely turned down interviews in recent years, most notably the AZ Cardinals HC job a few years back. He's also said he would turn down any "sham" interviews for a HC job, and I would think it serves his lawsuit to say that most of them ARE sham interviews.
sure i guess. Perfectly reasonable alternative explanation.

I did move the goalposts, about 1mm.

Enjoy that victory, I expect to see you dancing naked in the street. :)

Of course, I did also still completely blow up your point of bringing it up without any further context as a way to try to bash the Wilfs (let's be honest, that's your fetish) and lesser extent the Vikings in general.

There will be no enjoyment of victory because I never intended there to be a contest, but thanks for the concession and admitting defeat.

It was simply a statement of fact: the Vikings had no Pro Bowl honorees in 2025. You projected it into something else as an indictment of the Wilfs & franchise.

Just because the woeful Giants & Cardinals had players Pro Bowels, does not mean those franchises are in a better status than the Vikings or have better Ownership. They have their own issues to deal with.

Readers can draw their own conclusions on the Purple shut out. That's why I just let the blank list stand originally (albeit in way I tried to illicit humor).

For instance, this would have been a good example of what failing to have a Pro Bowler means:

Does it not say something that a player of Justin Jefferson's talent (not just Pro Bowl but All Pro past honors) & reputation failed to achieve the honor?

He hasn't missed a Regular Season game either. His numbers had to be really sub-standard to not get a nod as one of the Top 4 WRs in the NFC. Something went wrong. Terribly.

What it is was specifically, I am not sure. He was hurt in training camp. Revolving door of QBs with varying degree of performance, mostly in their first year of NFL action. Patchwork O-Line. Team failed to make the playoffs. Coaching game plans. Defensive plans against.

Probably the QB thing for the most part. I'm sure Murray's Warmath's ghost will agree with that.

In the end, for Justin Jefferson it probably does not mean that much beyond losing a potential chit for his Hall of Fame candidacy or a contract incentive. Maybe his endorsement stature takes a small hit.

As for bashing the Wilfs, don't worry. I will never leave room for any doubt on such comments.

- Up to 21 seasons now under their reign with just paltry 3 Play-off wins, none since 2019.
- Zero NFC Championships.
- Still have not won multiple Playoff Games in the same season.
- Just 1 NFC North Title in the past 8 seasons.

Now THAT is trolling. But also 100% factual.

with the win!

that's what happened with that particular win. That one win on that weekend.

What am I ducking or being nonchalant about?

I really have no clue.
It seems you are agreeing that you were wrong to be so relaxed and casual about that one win and not slipping that much back then, because now you are quite concerned about it.

My bolding: as I said, without additional context such as what is introduced here (the bolded part), not to mention that other teams did exceptionally well without having any non-long snapper Pro Bowlers, so clearly it doesn't matter or correlate at all with season outcome.

That should have always been included in the first post.

I did not care to discuss Justin Jefferson at the time, nor the capacity.

The original post was still 100% valid.

Hurts also did not complete a pass in the 2nd half but the Eagles still beat Buffalo.
