STAT OF THE DAY
As of Wednesday afternoon, eight pitchers in the Major Leagues had made at least eight starts this year and had yet to walk at least 10 batters. Two of them are Twins: Joe Ryan, with eight walks in nine starts (actually 10 games, since he pitched the last three innings of this week’s suspended game), and Pablo López, with nine walks in eight starts.
