SKOR North reported Ober lost over 8 lbs from the flu bug last week. Along with the 87 pitches through 4 innings, likely played a part in him getting replaced in the 5th.

Bullpen came through.

After watching multiple games so far of our Central division opponents, I think we win the division. Not because I have been inspired by our play but Detroit is gonna be our top contender and they have big holes in their lineup.

I'm sure he's still feeling the effects. He only gave up the one run today, but he sure didn't look like the guy that gave them 6 innings or more pretty much every start in the second half of last season.

All the more insane they let him go out there 48 hours later against St. Louis.

As usual they built up a big lead and the bats go to sleep. In the 8th had two on with no outs and 2-3-4 coming up. Nothing.
 

And of course, Altuve with the game winner.

I really don't like this team, but am a Twins fan.

It was chilly, but the sun was out all weekend. And they drew 30,000 combined over a Sat./Sun. against a pretty high profile opponent. Nobody is going to go out of their way to support this team.

I'm not saying a long leash should be extended to Paddock, but he pitched well enough to get through 5 innings but Castro muffed some plays to give the Astros extra outs yesterday.

Was listening to the twins radio when Duran was brought in. Twins radio made it sound like the Astros radio and tv guys were shocked to see Duran in the 8th. Twins radio went on this whole “look how smart we are” talking point that they don’t give people “titles”. Like the twins wouldn’t sully their hands in naming Duran the closer. Not like the Astros who name Hader their closer. Just found the whole thing funny and then when Jax went pear shaped it was even funnier.

Now with that said it’s one game and blown leads will happen.
 

Can this season be over with please. Not a good game tonight for the Twins. It gonna be a long season of Twins baseball.

I'm not sure if Rocco was justified there, but that looked like an instance where he purposely tried to get booted to spark the team.
 

Do I not have the HBP rule correct? Buxton got hit in the face from a ball that bounced off the plate. Isn't that still a HBP?
 

Another game where needlessly starting Vazquez bites them. He comes up twice with runners in scoring position to flail away. There's no reason Jeffers shouldn't start 5 of 7 games this week and Vazquez once per series. But instead Jeffers will sit on the bench 4 of 7 this week because it's Jeffers "turn".

This is such a dead-ass team. It probably won't help, but fire Rocco and give Toby a shot. This looks like a 90 loss team and there's little chance Rocco won't be fired after the season in that case anyway.
 



Correa finally has a good night at the plate...but tinkles down his leg with the go ahead run 90 feet away and hits into an inning ending double play. Nothing going right so far this year.
