All Things 2025-26 Minnesota Wild Season Thread

Wild lose to the Leafs 4-2. Missed opportunities to score in the 1st came back to haunt them big time in the 2nd period. Kaprizov continues to play a perimeter game. 3 losses in a row on home ice to non-playoff teams is bad no matter how you slice it

Wrong about the Wild?

There was a recent guarantee that our Wild-ings were headed for a second-round showdown with Colorado, guaranteeing a first playoff series win (presumably over Dallas) for our fellas since 2015. There were several messages to me that followed, stating: The Wild did not have the goaltending to get it done. And now three consecutive losses, with Filip Gustavsson and Jesper Wallstedt both being shaky. My confidence isn’t gone; it is rattled.

Gooo Wild!!

I wonder if he watched Colorado give up 7 on 20 shots to Pittsburgh

I’m aware. Wedgwood did me no favors in my semi final round of fantasy. He was pulled after 4th goal

Gooo Wild!!

Wow. I had no clue that Reusse was still employed by the STrib.

Yikes. An already very weak Pacific Division just got weaker.

Wild up 3-1 after 20. Shots 17-7 Wild. It’s been awhile now they need to finish it

The Wild lose again. It is too funny. This is what happens when you go to the White House and shake hands with the orange excrement.

This team. Can’t beat non playoff teams but can beat the second best team in the league. Make it make sense

Outstanding 4-minute long penalty kill in the 3rd helped get the team to overtime. Bobby Brink adds an offensive spark with a goal and an assist in the victory. Filip Gustavsson was superb with 26+ saves.

That was a great hockey game to be at today. This is gonna be a fun playoffs this year.

Very sad news here. Jessi Piercewas the nhl.com writer for the Wild. Also did some podcasts.

Status report
Kaprizov and Eriksson Ek each will be back in the lineup; Kaprizov missed two games and Eriksson Ek missed three. ... Marcus Foligno is doubtful, but the forward, who will miss his 12th straight game, is likely to return during the Wild's three-game road trip, which continues at the Florida Panthers on Thursday. ... Hedman is likely to return after missing a 4-3 overtime loss at the Calgary Flames on Sunday because of an illness

Zucc scores early to make it 1-0 and McCarron destroyed Perry with a nice upper cut. Probably broke his nose

That was a fun period. Wild up 2-0 with both on power plays and 2-0 in fights. Nick Foligno got the better of Sabourin

3-3 heading to the third. Lightning have been the better team. Need to stay out of the box

I can’t stand Tampa. They are such a bunch of whinnie B words. Also the TNT crew just loves them some Tampa.

Wild are going no where this year.
Team has skill, but they don't have that killer instinct

Did they have that killer instinct a month ago when they were in the middle of the run to get to the top 3 of the conference?

This comment smells of recency bias.

I’m starting to think the Kaprizov contract may bite then in the ass like the Suter/Parise contracts. He’s been invisible for nearly a month now. Yes he missed 2 games recently due to injury but I got to think he’s still injured. If not then he needs to get his shit together

WTF?

I leave to let the dog out assuming we’re headed to OT after giving up a late goal and the game was over when I came back downstairs 🤦
